"A Terrified Country"

Here I sit in a country full of terror everyone awaiting the news,
Watching closely in disbelief and hearing different people's views,
First there was a loud exploding sound,
Buildings were collapsing and sirens all around,
The nation's in shambles and families are torn,
Knowing that war will soon be born,
Terror fills our hearts and hatred our minds,
We'll punish those responsible in due time,
Thousands of lives taken in this terrible act,
Nobody is quite sure of how to react,
Diminishing our pride while killing our men,
We keep asking ourselves how they got in,
We unite as one standing together strong,
Helping each other make it along,
We'll speak with one voice and help with one hand,
We'll show them America will still stand!

I wrote this poem in memory of all the people that died in yesterday's collapsing of the World Trade Centers. I still am in search of my uncle so I can feel all of your pain and grievance. My love and prayers are with each and every one of you and may God be with us all on our search.

Ther comes a time,
we all must be strong.
no matter who's hurt,
no matter who's wrong.
We must tip our heads,
and look to the stars.
For there is the answer,
it comes from afar.

He will heal the hearts,
broken and torn.
holding us gently,
crying in mourn.
We are a strong body,
while holding him near,
cry on his shoulder,
let him dry your tears.

This is a time for all Christians to reach out and comfort your fellow brother/sister in this unfortunate time of need.

May God be with you all!
