Come on people, do you not see other workers other than firefighters, and policeman....there are construction workers and steel workers (and who ever else has not been thanked) that also did alot of work out there. These workers are not used to seeing what they've seen out there. Let us not be so insensitive and let us thank ALL the WORKERS recovering the bodies from this hateful crime. Lets show their families they are ALL HEROES and we pray for them ALL!! I wonder how their families feel when their loved ones that worked so hard and has gone unthanked.

Soul Helpers
By: Charlene Scott

Black as the night they swallowed the city,
Everyone’s heart was full of such pity.

Pity is not what their heart’s desire,
They long for the loved ones who burned in that fire.

The ground trembled, and hearts shook,
While I was doodling in my history book,

So unaware of what was going on,
I didn’t know how many had gone.

They left this world in a shattering crash,
And all that was of them was a large pile of ash.

I cried myself to sleep, feeling so alone,
Crying for the little children who will never be full-grown.

Those people were stupid, they had hearts of steel,
And no consideration for what other people feel.

We need to join hands and pray with all our might,
So we will be the strongest of all and win this terrible fight.

They say we fight for peace but that can’t be right,
Because if what we want is peace then we should be trying to stop the fight.

War helps no one, they will hate forever,
The only thing is love, that will stop this great endeavor.

After our loved ones are dead, do you think we will have won?
Alone, and crying, is that happiness that’s all we will have done.

Killed more innocent people and left ourselves in pain,
When you’re the one crying, you’ll realize that it was all in vain,

Kindness is sharper than any knife, and faster than any bullet shot,
And love, is more dangerous than any evil thought.

Leave it alone, please, just give it time to heal,
And the stitches of time will heal a broken heart and take the pain you feel.

A broken heart is stronger than one whole,
Because the broken pieces will be added to your soul,

They will make you stronger, and your faith a guiding light,
To shine on all those people who want to start a fight.

So help everyone, and reach out your hand,
Make America a place of love, a free and peaceful land.

I am a Canadian, proud to call myself a north American, the world grieves with you, but now is the time to be resolute in hunting down those evil people, who in the name of God do such unspeakable horrors in every country of the world. I admire your President and cabinet who have shown such restraint in not attacking with the full might of your country. Your humanitarian gifts to the starving, homeless Afgans speak volumes to all who love freedom, this is not a holy war, what is holy about attacking defenceless men, women and children, this is a war between good and evil. In no ones religion does it speak of harming and killing others. God bless us all, we need God more then ever to stop this insanity of evil.

UNITED WE STAND

It was a beautiful September day,
People going about their way.
Going where they needed to be,
Seeing who they needed to see.

Out of the clear blue sky,
Four planes flying high,
Became weapons to destroy,
And to take away our joy.

They thought our spirit would fall,
When our backs were against the wall.
They just didn't know,
How close we would grow.

We all gathered to pray,
And ask God to guide the way.
The motto "In God We Trust",
Has now risen from the dust.

Our people have united together,
The storms of war we will weather.
We will fight until the end,
Our freedom to defend.

We will never forget those we lost,
These lives were our biggest cost.
The buildings we can rebuild,
But the empty arms we cannot fill.

Let us keep this fire burning,
And keep our hearts yearning,
To rid the world of this terror,
And to live in peace forever.

I am a transplanted New Yorker as NYC is my second home and I feel the grief all over the city. Although I now live in the Midwest I desire to help. I realize that there are many volunteers, counselors and social workers all over the city... So I prayed about what I could contribute.

I am writing a book, my second on "Mending Broken People". This first book helps people overcome obstacles and set backs in their lives. I wish to to dedicate this new book to the families of those killed or wounded in the attack on America. This book is called , "Mending Broken People After Tragedy Strikes. It is written from my heart as I too was a victim of a senseless attack and for years I could not get closure because the group who attacked were covered, protected even by law enforcement people. I found closure not through financial recovery,or recovery from my injuries, but because that did not come, nor through friends trying to comfort because they did not understand my helplessness. I want every injured person and every family member of one who died to have a FREE copy of this book. I found peace and a resolution and a closure after nearly three years through my time developing a closer personal relationship with God. I desire to share my path to freedom with you because my heart goes out to you. Send request to: {singlelifeline@juno.com}. I will add your name to the list to receive this FREE book. If you are not a family member of one who has suffered a loss you may still get a free copy of the book if you intend to share it with someone who has had a major loss that totally changed their life. I have an organization, Brand New Images that reaches out to hurting peopleto help them mend. We have all professionals who assist us in this work, none receive a salary.

i was sitting here at my desk on sept 11 when my
boss and i heard the news of the first crash into
the first tower ..we looked at each other and before we could finish our conversation the next crash occurred. by that time we knew in our hearts what had happened. of course being travel agents we immediately began scanning our client list, checking flights nbrs and airlines. later that a.m. i was delivering an airline ticket, while in my car..the next crash i heard into the pentagon and then the towers falling and i have never felt so afraid in my life. my first thought at that moment was to go to my eight year olds school, pick him up in my arms and run home and lock the door behind me (as if that would help). i felt so invaded. i knew that i could not alarm my child ..i had to be the adult and remain calm..i had to be the travel agent and remain calm....but needless to say i cried from the office to my destination and back to the office. still i had not seen any pictures and didnt until 9pm that night. we worked late manning the phones when clients and non clients would call. in the back of mind all day i wondered how would i explain to my beautiful son the terror that had occurred and how would i explain to him not to be afraid but to have faith in our nation and our leaders and that mommy was here....but when i returned home and saw the pictures actually on the television..i put that with the images i had in my mind all day as i listened to the radio. a
new wave of fear, anger, disgust, sorrow and heartbreak went through me. my days have been spent since that awful day praying , reassuring my clients, my son and at the same time worried for all the people that have been affected which is everyone...to those that lost loved ones, to those that fought to rescue people they never knew and lost their lives doing this, to those innocent children with all of their questions that we struggle to answer and reassuring myself that at me age (38) i will be living through a war worse than the one my parents lived through and to the people of the united states of america i give you my heartfelt thanks for uniting and supporting people they now call their brothers and sisters, even though they may never have laid eyes on them.

we will get through this. we have to believe in our president, our leaders, ourselves and especially our god.

from our agency. southside travel, from our city of south boston, va...our hearts are with all.

united as a family we stand,

ruth owen and my wonderful son JASON
