For us all,

I am a college student who intends to transfer to a service academy next year. If it wasn't for the fact that I am at a military prep school now that isn't allowing us "Recruits at Training" to leave, I would be in NYC working disaster relief. I too am woried about the fact I may be called upon to serve, not that I fear service, but that I fear the fact that a war will mean the deaths of men and women like me, willing to go and serve unquestioningly for what we see as right. I am here to say that I WILL serve if called, and do so with the greatest sense of PRIDE, because I am an American and we don't fall apart under these situtations.

I also want to say "thank you" to everyone who has submitted condolences to family and to the nation. I have a cousin in NYC who is safe now, but I know there are many reading this who are not sure about their loved ones, to you I offer my prayers and hopes for good news. My God (or the Lord of your own religion) bless and help us all.

I think that President Bush is correct in his declaration of who will be punished, but I warn those of you who wish to deploy nukes now, that nukes are as indescriminate killers as the terriorst that crashed those planes. Declaring general war, even if it does come to that, is an action that kills more than just those who are responsible. Albert Einstine said that if we fight with necular weapons the next war will be fought with sticks and stones. Nothing is more correct. Under not circumstance do I want to be misunderstood, I think that those at fault should pay with their lifes, but any armed force is a broad sword, not a percision instrument. I was ready to take arms yesterday, drop out of school, go down and enlist to defend this nation, my family and friends. I have decided that for now that is not prudent and continue onward untill called to do otherwise and I urge all of you to do the same. It will be clearly evident when our service is needed, then I ask all of you to walk to the desk as I will and sign the dashed line. Someone said to remember the song "Proud to be an American" I urge those of you who don't know it well to do a search and read the lyrics. I want them to be my closing coments here. Those lyrics and a wish for everyones prayers for those who have ties in the disaster areas. Once again, my the Lord be with us all.

I feel very bad that all this has happened and may god be with you..I think that it is great all the support that we hear from other cities and countries..thank you all i know it is greatly appreciated and it also saddens me that you see the Pakistinen people on tv cheery..that makes me very sick..how anyone could be so cruel..May God be with us all..
