We have dealt with the guilty and their associates in the ways which you describe, and what has it brought us? Death to our citizens, on our own turf. You speak of Buddhism, and other passive means of acceptance and reaction. You quote great individuals from the past, which has absolutely no relevance to the modern landscape of war and resolution. We are proud Americans and will die with pride defending our country. As for others, you will demonstrate and complain when it does not affect you directly. We lost friends yesterday at One World Trade Center, and are very logical, calculating, and experienced individuals who have a strong sense of morality. But when we are in the trenches, and being hit, we do not want armchair philosophers by our side, sit back and debate while we defend your freedom. We want the American who will die for this country no matter what. It may be self egrandizing to act as an 'intellectual' with restraint, but we have acted as you prescribe for years. As true Americans, we need a new approach. Yes, to be technical, with tired arguments: Native Americans are the only true 'homegrown' Americans, but the world has changed, and we deal with it as it is today. We do not enjoy arguing with our fellow Americans, and we choose not to, but we must realize that the landscape has evolved, and as President Bush and experts have stated, 'This is a new kind of warfare.' So keep reading your books, and manifest your solutions here, but do not challenge true Americans for our decree to defend all Americans, forever. Please read the opinions, and be free to state yours, but do not attack us; This is no time to for infighting, we support you completely in your right to opinions, and we do not feel that this may be the only solution. We accept all ideas, but we need new ones, as others fail.

God bless the brave individuals who give their lives each and every day to protect our freedom. We love this country, and pray for all citizens, law enforcement, and especially the NYFD who proves day in and day out, there is no more courageous outfit in the world.
Defend the innocent, Defend the truth, and Defend democracy, forever.
