Okay everybody I understand what you are going through because I know many, many people who worked in or near ground zero and I am still unable to find many. Possibly some will never be fond and some found on a cold slab of some impromptu morgue. these are ugly realites and I am sure they invoke great anger in all of us but please, please, please do not let these incidents bring out the ugly part of America which would help give credence to those who believe what happened was justice for past wrongs.

In particular please don't make your anger one sided and rascist because as we have learned in the last few years the capacity for these actions in all of us. If the high school students, for instance, who committed atrocities, in the last few years, were able to get their hands on air planes their heinuous acts would have been magnified. If the Mcviegh cabal had been able to fly imagine what would have occurred. If some of the anti-government groups in our nation's heartland were/are able to get their hands on these devices what a calamity this would be. Yet I don't hear of anybody beating up or attacking any members of these groups. I don't hear of any "war" being declared on any of these groups. Terry Nichols might be paroled one day. One of the cohorts in the Mcviegh group was given walking papers for giving info. We seem to heap our greatest anger on those who don't look like or sound like us. Isn't part of the problem that led to this?

To add some historical perspective to this argument can we all go back to WW2 and analyse how we conducted ourselves during that awful period. From what I have researched, German americans, some of whom went back to Germany to fight on the axis side, were treated, overall, with respect. Even though Germany was, before Japan, threatening all the civilized world including the USA. Yet It was the Japanese Americans, some who were here well before the German immigrants, who felt the brunt of our anger. Some of these "Japs" served, beyond heroically, in the theaters of WW2. That they have wounds from this era that might never heal should be understood. Even if you only look at the treatment of African-Americans who served, with distinction, and came back to an America which still thought of them as second class ctizens, You will ferret out injustice. Don't let this continue.

Please, let us go forward, from here, with the greatest of care. Let us progress from this. This country, the USA, must be made better because of this. We must show the world how the goodness of America, as well as the wrath, can make this world better. This will be our greatest revenge not the punishment of the perpetrators or their aiders and abettors. While punishment is absolutely neccessary, humanity is as well, so the world can look and see a moral example of how to conduct national business in the most dire of consequences. This is how we will win over the world. Not by bulldozing the middle east to Afghanistan into one large parking lot. So lets get it together America and show the world how moral and ethical we can be even while meting the appropriate justice.

Thank You!
I can't begin to express the deep appreciation for all the condolences and offers of help. I expect this of my fellow Americans, and I am proud. I especially want to thank the citizens of other nations who have expressed sympathy and outrage and offered to help. These expressions are especially helpful when we have felt safe for so long, and suddenly realize how vulverable we are when we become slack in our diligence to protect true freedom. If you believe in prayer, keep praying.
God Bless--
From Tennesse, USA

I agree if everyone does a small part it will add up to a huge effort. So let's all put forth a HUGE effort and just imagine the outcome. Let us all band together in support of our nation and all those who call this great country home!
