To Freedom Lives On

Needless to say.

I was not born yet,
but many of us remember the U.S. have always been here for us when we needed them during previous World Wars.

Till last week I thought I was against death penalty.

Not anymore. Not here, at least.

And I remember the price Japan paid for Pearl Harbor.

And I hope the bastards will pay their due.

This is not a nice feeling. When I spend my sleepless nights watching CNN I can hardly refrain from vomiting. I never thought I could experience hate that much, which is also possibly raised by distance and the fact that we cannot help.
I would give anything to help search the rubble.

Sorry to feel that way.

Michel

It is interesting to read this discussion from overseas. The whole world is watching America.

The whole civilized world which is aspiring to implement the ‘perfect system’ is watching devastating tragedy of NY and Washington DC. The most successful system – liberal democracy – as implemented in US proved to be weak because of the same characteristics which created its power –openness of the society, building on trust, freedom and individualism.

Yes, you can nuke the Afghanistan, kick out all foreigners from US, and close your border. BUT IT ONLY PROVES THAT TERRORIST WERE SUCCESSFUL – and all what the rest of the world was admiring in US appeared to be MISTAKE.

I hope that America will not let us down and stand up to the difficulty of the situation. Hold on, I am with you.

One think for you

They shall not grow old
as we who are left grow old,
age shall not wither them
nor the years condemn;
At the going down of the sun
and in the morning,
we will remember them....

I think of you!

Since my childhood it was my dream to come America to see how the super power looks like. Now after seeing this horrific tragedy my heart is really coming out to help those who have been affected by atrocities of terorrism and dastardly act of fanatics. But I am sure America will cope up and and won't sleep till the root of terorrism is cleared out. I am even ready to die to help America. May God make those innocent soul rest in peace who were victim of this unexpected happening.

I am seeking to contact a friend I grew up with in Jersey City. Her name is Angela Givissis (DOB 11 March 1963). I know that she was working in the WTC. My mother and I are deeply concerned for Angela and her family. Please contact me: monica@windowonwales.com if you have any information regarding her whereabouts.

TRYING TO HELP JILLIAN VOLK FIND KEVIN WILLIAMS

Her description of KEVIN on ABC GMA was similar to one given earlier by a man who had been RESCUED BY a KEVIN.
This story was broadcast early Wednesday morning, I think ABC or NBC but it could have been CBS or CNN.

It was a sit-down interview. The man wanted to thank KEVIN for saving his life by helping him get out of the building. They became separated with the collapse--he wasn't sure KEVIN had
made it and I think said KEVIN went to help more people.

Whether KEVIN made it or not, his fiance and family should know he is a hero.

PLEASE NOTE, I did NOT say I saw her fiance Kevin on the news, but a man who a "Kevin" rescued who fit the description Jillian gave.

I thought if nothing else, she could view the tape and possibly contact the man and find out if it was her Kevin, and if so, more details.

The gentleman was interviewed in what seemed to be a studio setting, looked like he was in his 50-60s, and was slightly balding. The more I think about it I think the interview was on Forrest Sawyer's NBC overnight show, but I'm not certain. I paid particular attention because my significant other is also named Kevin.

I called and e-mailed ABC yesterday and again today, but I have no idea if they were able to pass this information on. I also sent an e-mail to the editor@ny.com site but only received form e-mails back.

Contact me at email address(mulreadyp@earthlink.net) or call ABC News and ask them to find the detailed message.
