in the not too distant future the oil will run out. 32 years after putting a man on the moon you have to ask why we are still dependant on the stuff, and why we have not developed alternative energy to power our new century. We split the atom over half a century ago and found a way to destroy our world, so surely we can give oil the bum's rush. You can bet that the big oil companies know all about alternative energy sources, maybe now is the time to have the courage to change the foundation of our economy and move into the new century. Of course then the middle east would be shaking in it's slippers, which wouldn't bother me right now.

USA, you must have bumped your head a lot on the short bus to and from school. The buses you plan to take everywhere are likely to have filled up with the fuel you are trying to boycott. Furthermore, the driver could be an imigrant from another country and as we have all read, if they are not exactly like you, you have a problem with them.

I agree with that, here in britian they have dug up pictures of other crimes against humanity...and one picture that will haunt me to the day I die is of a fire fighter carrying a dead child away from the oklahomer bombing.

Bowood - Volvo built a wonderful car in the 70s that ran on vegetable oil, when oil prices were through the roof. However, oil became cheap again, and it still is, so that is why we use it. The US uses a ton of oil to make tires and other petroleum products. I would also be in favor of civilized countries using alternate energy sources to make the dependence on the middle east vanish.
