TO ALL NEW YORKERS AND ANYONE WHO HAS EVER BEEN THERE
New York never sleeps. She is merely catching her breath after being knocked sideways. With the help of Liberty, who is forever at her side, she will get off her knees, dust down her garments and stand once more, more beautiful and more proud than ever before.

And she has every right to be proud. Her citizens truly love her, and they in turn transfer their love onto anyone who visits.Just four short years ago, I too stood atop the WTC, marvelling at the views provided by the twin towers. Outside, a businesswoman, seeing me with a tourist map, came over and asked me if I needed help in locating where I wanted to go. Our hotel concierge would happily spend time with us every morning, helping us plan the day, so we could see as much of his beloved city as possible.

And now, we see the firefighters raising Old Glory on a battered, twisted flagpole taken from the wreckage of the WTC. To those who would seek to destroy New York; remember, New York is not just a city, it is a state of mind, which will NOT be broken.

My heart goes out to everyone affected by this horrible tragedy. America, all of us "across the pond" are thinking of you now. We will stand beside you as you try to rebuild your cities and your lives.

During this devistating tragedy that our country is facing the out pour of support and emotions have been tremendous. The families and friends of the ones that have been lost have every American behind them supporting them to get through this difficult time. As Americans all we can do now is hope and pray for survivors to be found and that we will locate these vicious people behind this awful cowardly act. Our country stands proud and there is no doubt that we will conquer, overcome and defeat this horrific tragedy.
