I am a hospice RN, with disaster relief experience following three major disasters incl the OKC bombing.
I would like to work in a week or so with families
when their need is the greatest. After there is no hope, after the Memorial services are over, and
the ones left behind needs help with anything, child care, counseling (also a Psyche nurse with 5 yrs of nursing and counseling experience).
I live in rural mid Missouri. I can drive my car or go along with another to help drive. My # is 573-793-2549....call any time even if you just want to talk about how this is affecting you. I sure need to talk to someone also, even if I am not able to go to New York.
Perhaps those of us who are counselors or nurses or mental health workers could set up a system to help our brothers and sisters across the nation cope with the stress, pain and sadness we are all feeling. If interested in seeing what we can do in our own states, write to me early@usmo.com or earlyann@hotmail.com or call 573-793-2549. perhaps those wanting to help in other countries could do the same. Early Gardner RN in Missouri

I am a 20 yr old woman from PA who is ready, at a moment's notice, to travel to NYC to aid in the clean up, etc... anyone with information as to how to go about this (where to go to get started) please email me at
teenangel24@yahoo.com
I have looked everywhere to try to find out who to contact. Although I have no medical or military experience, I am perfectly capable of helping with the clean up/search and rescue efforts so that our heroic firefighters and volunteer workers can get a much needed and deserved break.

I am writing from England, and know that I can't do much to help from here, apart from offer my sincere condolences to anyone who has lost a loved one, and offer my prayers for everyone involved in the tragedy. My best wishes go out to all the rescue workers. I think they are doing such a marvellous job. It's a pity the world is not made up of more people like them. As I'm so far away, all I can do is offer my words of support. If anyone wants to e-mail me, I am more than willing to listen to anyone.
God bless you all.

BJ is a carpenter and although I have no experience I would be willing to come even to hand out food and drinks to the workers. Please let us know. We feel so helpless. The firemen, Prateek, have fiber optic cameras and listening devices for working in downed buildings. The problem with this disaster is the fire. Everything was melted and vaporized on the top and middle floors...it was 4 times hotter than
a gasoline fire.
it is a miracle that over 20,000 were able to be evacuated down the stairs. Thank God for that!
Dear fellow Americans,
I am sending this message because I felt like I needed to help some how. I'm not old enought to give blood, I cannot help find survivers, so I guess this is one of the ways I can help. I am so sorry for the people who died. It was a tragic event and I'm sure that day will be recognized every year. My class had an idea to make some money to donate to the americans who died and to rebuild the World Trade Center. I hope that some of the eople turn up in the ruble and dust. I should give credit to the rescue workers that are working trying to save some victems of the tragedy at the very moment I'm typing this.
WHEN WE WALK THROUGH THE RAIN WE WILL HOLD OUR HEAD UP HIGH AND NOT BE AFRAID OF THE STORM. FOR GOD WILL BE WITH US
