The murderers who planned and committed this crime should be punished. But if targets in Afghanistan are attacked:

1)Would large scale civillian casualties teach another generation of angry, resentful, alienated Arabs to hate the West? To recruit more "martyrs"?

2)With the crazy logic of those "Islamic" fanatics, would US retaliation be what they're looking for? So that there would be civillian deaths, which would inflame the Arab world, which would lead to further escalation?
