Towers of Angels

Two towers stood side-by-side so high in the air

So strong, so commanding, so proud to be there

Completing a landscape now frozen in time

A part of the old New York City skyline

How can we forget that a part of us died?

When freedom and evil were forced to collide

The towers were hit, but our hearts crashed as
well

The moment our freedom and liberty fell

Trapping Americans deep in its core

Pushing once peace to the onset of war

Collapsing so strong and so fast on our peers

Evoking our gravest and darkest of fears

Shaking our foundation and causing the slide

The most valuable loss was that from inside

Our Mothers and Fathers once bright and alive

Helped our sisters and brothers fight to survive

Our friends and cousins fought hard to pull
through

As our sons and daughters did the best they could
do

Americans watched in horror, hands tied to prevent

The avalanche of humanity brought down to cement

Now side-by-side, new strength rose in the towers
place

Men and women working at a hurried, frantic pace

Through piles and piles of wreckage and debris

Hoping that more survivors is what they would see

Americans banning together, soaring flags, showing
pride

Looking to a higher power, so thankful to be alive

Struggling with torment and helpless feelings of
unrest

Certainly our great Nation has received its
ultimate test

And as the world watched and prayed, counting the
days

Offering help in so many astounding, inspirational
ways

A miracle happened; the ruble and debris began to
rise

American's watched in amazement, not believing
their eyes

White, billowy wings surfaced - breaking through
the ground

Spirals and Spirals of bright, beautiful light
danced around

They're Angels, my God! Wings upon wings soaring
to be free

Flapping, ascending, flying through the space the
towers use to be

Dancing and laughing, smiling and singing as they
rise through the air

Thanking, applauding, kissing America for the
freedom that we share

As tears befall the eyes of those distressed and
pained to see them go

They offer up their hearts, their strength and
most importantly their souls

For America they fly so high, so far, as they
flutter their good-byes

For they are our Heroes, our greatest sacrifice,
our towers of angels in the skies

all our angels...

To my fellow Friends in the United States of America

On morning hours Tuesday 11 September 2001, we just learnt about this Terrorism acts. We are now in mourning of all people in Pittsburgh, Washington DC and New York who have families, Fire-fighters, Law Enforcement personnel and work colleagues at Washington Dc Pentagon and World Trade Centre been expire, missing and found alive in the rubble and searching your friends. Our country has been the victim of these too. Our estimate is 100 expire (more to come). To all countries too whom have families and friends caught out? I was very shock, horror, Heartbreaking, disorient, shoulder-to-shoulder and other things.

I am Iain Thomas Wolkowski Aged 24 years old. I am a British citizen who cares and honesty about this tragedy. I lived in England. I know what is to be like other there.

Terrorism is a disrespect and disregardful to kill all people around the world.

We should be in war with the rouges country. I am very strongest about this.

Please stop this getting evening more.

Your friends, colleagues and people of Grimsby UK.

Respect
Iain Thomas Wolkowski

To all who suffer from this disaster; for all who mourn: please accept this song as a gift in your time of sorrow. Our love and prayers are with you.

RAINBOW MAKER

In the midst of great struggle
When the whole world seems grey
And it feels like all hope
Has faded away,
Take a handful of tears
Hold them up to the Son -
When a rainbow appears
The healing's begun.

When your faith is flash-flooded
By waves cold and strong
And love that you leaned on
Turns out all wrong,
Take your grief in both hands
Reach out to the Light -
A rainbow of promise
Will warm up your night.

In sorrow and rage
When you're too weak to give
Remember the One
Who taught you to live
Let faith, hope and love
Shine through your pain -
Trust God to make rainbows
In the midst of the rain.

Lyrics: Catherine Freymond
Music: Joachim Barkley-Probst

FROM THE SOUTH,

YESTERDAY, SEPT.16,2001; I HEARD ON THE BOB AND TOM SHOW ON THE RADIO;A MAN WAS SAYING HE WAS PASSING MANY HOUSES THAT WERE NOT PATRIOTIC BY SHOWING THEIR FLAGS. WELL LET ME EXPLAIN, JUST ABOUT EVERYWHERE YOU GO -THEY ARE ALL SOLD OUT. TO SAY THAT WE ARE UNPATRIOTIC IS UNFAIR. YOU PROBABLY HAVENT BEEN NEAR A TELEVISION[ WATCHING HOW JUST ABOUT 90 PERCENT OF ALL AMERICANS HAVE BEEN EXPRESSING THEIR GREIVING FOR ALL PEOPLES.

AND THE INTERNET HAS SO MANY SITES THAT PEOPLE ACROSS THE WORLD HAVE BEEN EXPRESSING THEIR SUPPORT.SO MANY GIVING AND CARING SOULS WANT TO GO
DIRECTLY TO THE SITES- AND OFFER TO DIG WITH THEIR BARE HANDS-CHILD CARE-FOOD DISTRUBUTION;ETC, ETC, ETC. HERE IN SHREVEPORT, LOUISIANA; NURSES ARE WANTING TO GO TO THE SITES TO HELP. THE ONLY THING I KEEP SEEING--IS THESE SITES ARE FANTISTIC [BUT THERE IS NO FOLLOWUP; OR ANSWER IF YOU WILL, TO THESE OUTCRYS OF THE PEOPLE WHO ARE OFFERING EVERYTHING IN THEIR HEARTS TO HELP]. SOMEONE NEEDS TO BE ASSIGNED THE DUTY OF ANSWERING THE CALL TO OUR COUNTRY...............

UNLESS YOU HAVE ACCESS TO A MAJOR DISTRIBUTOR OF A PERSON OR COMPANY THAT MAKES OUR FLAG-AND GIVE TO THE PEOPLE, I DONT SEE WHY HANDS ON HELP ISNT
A SHOW OF PATRIOTISM TO OUR PEOPLE AND COUNTRY.

A very special friend of mine once wrote this for me; thought I would share it with you:

There are times in every day life
when we feel hurt or alone...
But I believe that these times
when we feel lost
and all things around us seems to be falling apart
are really bridges of growth.
We struggle and try to recapture
the security of what was,
but almost in spite of ourselves...
We emerge on the other side
with a new understanding,
a new awareness, a new strength.
It is almost as though
we must go through the pain
and the struggle in order to grow
and reach new heights.

THE TEXAS TOWN FOLKs AND THE WHOLE NATION MOURN WITH YOU. WE LOVE YOU AND OUR PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU. GOD BLESS YOU, AND GOD BLESS AMERICA.

I believe that in life there is opposition in all things and through pain comes growth. If these things are true America will stand stronger and more proud than ever before.

My family and I are proud Australians but as I heard an Australian reporter say, today we are all American. We stand proud and strong with you.

Rivers of yellow and blue flow into the void
Fog swirls and surrenders a million memories
The heart dons a mantle of grey

I weep each day for the lost and the bereaved. I hope the solidarity of the nation and the sharing of grief bring some solace to you all. This Canadian is proud to be your friend and neighbor. Let justice be served.
