Love from Miami,
Those of us who endured Hurricane Andrew's ground zero, understand mass destruction by the forces of nature - but we cannot understand mass destruction by the forces of hate. Our hearts and prayers go out to you all. May you reconstruct your lives and bear your losses. We will remember always your pain and the sacrifice of your loved ones.

Over here in the United Kingdom we are thinking of you all during this sad and desperate time. Innocent lives have been taken by those hell bent on terrorism. No one deserves to have their life ended in such a brutal and barbaric way. We hope that the military both in america and here in the uk deal with these murderers and punish them appropriately. i know that they will leave no stone unturned until they are found and terminated.

I WOULD LIKE TO SAY ONE THING. WE MUST ALL WORK TOGETHER ON THIS. WE NEED TO HELP THOSE WEEKER THAN US, AND WE NEED TO BE BRAVE AND STRONG. NO ONE EXPECTED THIS. IT WAS LIKE AN ARROW PEIRCING OUR HEARTS. IT'S TOO DEEP TO PULL OUT, SO WE TRY TO FORGET ABOUT IT, BUT WE CAN STILL FEEL IT. I GIVE MY WHOLE HEART TO THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE LOST LOVED ONES. EVERY ONE WHO EXPERIANCED THIS LOST SOMETHING. AMERICA IS ONE BIG FAMILY, AND ON TUESDAY WE ALL LOST MANY BROTHERS AND SISTERS. WE WILL LOOK BACK, AND REMEMBER THIS AS A TIME OF SADNESSAND GREEF, AND LOSS. HOWEVER, THE SUN WILL COME UP TOMMORROW WITH THE SAME BRIGHT FIRE IT HAS ALWAYS HAD. THE EARTH WILL NOT STOP TURNING, AND YOU MUST NOT STOP LIVING. WE ALL MUST BE BRAVE AND START REBUILDING OUR NATION. IF WE DON'T START NOW, WE MAY NEVER FINISH. SO WAKE UP TOMMORROW AND SEE THINGS IN A NEW LIGHT. WE ARE ALL CITIZENS. IF NOT OF AMERICA, OF GOD, AND WE ALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE FREE. SO WE MUST STAND TALL AND SHOW OUR COLORS.

GOD BLESS AMERICA.

I feel sadness for all who have experienced loss, and especially for those who must face raising their children alone. Not only have you lost your sweetheart, your children have lost "Daddy or Mommy". This prayer and scripture is for you.

I pray that the Lord would comfort your hearts, and keep you well. I ask that blessings be upon you as you face the difficult future. No words can tell how you must feel. Just know that he is beside you and guiding you whatever you may face.

Psalm 120:1 I call on the Lord in my distress, and he answers me.
Psalm 121:1, 2 I lift my eyes up to the hills, where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Psalm 121: 7, 8 The Lord will keep you from all harm, he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

Lord, walk the streets of New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC and put your arms around those that have lost, those that are diligently working, and those that feel they cannot go on. Comfort them as only you can.

Be sensitive to his voice, pray often and trust in him completely, he will take you through it.

A NEW YORK TEAR

Horrible sounds ring throughout the air ~~~ loud ~~~ thats all you can hear. So loud you suddenly go deaf. Looking around, in panic, terrified. What is going on? I look around, looking for somewhere, ANY where, to hide. Wait.....why can't I see anymore? Blackness...all around me.... Why is everyone screaming? Why cant I see them? Why cant I wake up from this horrible nightmare? Why am I choking? No air ~~~ just dust. I cant breathe. What is that smell?? Fire, thats all you can feel. The warmth from 2 buildings 2 miles away. Two planes did what?? I dont understand, this cant be happening!! My sister works there!!! We have to go get her. What? What do you mean we CANT?? OH MY GOD!!!!! SHE WHAT??!??!!! No....no...no... you dont understand. She's NOT dead. I was just with her last night!! There are how many bodies?? This is so unreal! Do you realize how many people will have to lay their heads on their tear soaked pillows tonight? People that will have to fall asleep without their wife, their husband, without their mom or dad or even both? How many people will never talk to their brother, their sister, their cousin, their neighbor, their best friend ever again? Do you realize how many innocent children were never picked up from daycare today?
More noise, more blackness. All around. Everywhere we turn. God what is that smell? I have never smelled death before. This is horrible!!! The smell of death, the smell of pure hatred. All for what? Wait....what is that? I can breathe again. Fresh clean air. Do you know what that scent is? Its the scent of a PROUD AMERICAN. The smell of FREEDOM. Its the smell of JUSTICE THAT IS ABOUT TO BE SERVED....

May all the fireman, rescue workers, police officers and innocent victims rest in peace. Your justice will be served.

As a grammar school-high school friend of Lt. Commander Otis Tolbert a Naval Intelligence Officer whom was killed in the attack on the Pentagon, I would like to express deepest sympathy to the parents, brother, wife and his three children for the loss of Otis. He was truly a wonderful person and a great American. We, who knew him growing up in Lemoore, CA, can tell you we are proud to have known him. We cannot know the pain you are suffering. May God send his peace and grace to you to help you in your loss. Jaime Hallen

IT SEEMS STRANGE THAT SUCH A BAD CATASTROPHE COULD BRING ALL OF US AMERICANS AND EVEN PEOPLE OF OTHER COUNTRIES TOGETHER THE WAY THAT WE HAVE SEEN OVER THE PAST WEEK. IT IS A SHAME THOUGH THAT THE LIVES OF OVER 5,000 INNOCENT PEOPLE HAD TO BE TAKEN FOR IT TO HAPPEN.

What has happened last Tuesday was a tragedy...my sympathies for those fallen...our hearts and prayers are with you.

But we stand together...united. Those who commited these crimes made the worst mistake of their life...they brought together the American Spirit. This spirit is so true and so strong, that nothing can destroy it.

I am a Flash Web Designer who works for a company called Hot Flash. This past week we were supposed to launch our website, but due to the tragic events, it was left in the air. We're back now, only we decided to make a tribute to those fallen in the terrorist attacks and the unity of our Nation.

Please check us out -- make sure you have your speakers on because it is a large Flash file (1.3 megs, it is fast on DSL/Cable, but takes about 10 min with 56k). Thank you.

THE BIRDS OF DEATH

the sun is shining after the storm
then giant birds to the city swarm
it makes us cry
and wonder why
how this could be
in this galant city
in terror and pain
only rubble remains
this concrete jungle
reduced to dust
in times of need
our hearts do bleed
for others we pray
they last the day
this time of hurt
shows all around
a moments silence
we look to the ground
these birds of death those fearsome 3
DO NOT let this ever again be

HEROES,
Written by John DePietri, a NYC ironworker from a family of ironworkers and firemen asa tribute to those who have fallen and as an inspiration to those who continue to search for their brothers

HERO is a word, that is often, overused
Bestowed upon athletes and celebrities, until it seems abused
And looses it's true meaning, diluted and confused
With words that should and could be, often, better used
For when we see true HEROES, like the day the world stood still
And watched as evil fed upon us, until it had it's fill
It's then that we realized, that so many HEROES lived amoung us
And how empty now our world would be, with so many taken from us
Who were these men, who went running in, when others were
running out?
What could have they been thinking, what were their lives about?
What character did these men have, so to risk their lives for another
And race to save a stranger, as if it were a brother
Perhaps there is the answer, so easy and so little
"Simple love of fellow man" is the answer to the riddle
Heaven has a special place, for those who make the greatest sacrafice
A reward for having lived, a most, unselfish life
So now we call them HEROES, it's the best honor we can give
It's not how they died that makes them HEROES, but rather how they lived
So go now all you HEROES, to a place with no alarms
God awaits his bravest children, with outreached open arms
The Angels signal your arrival, with trumpets beautiful and loud
To let you know that you have made all of heaven proud
So Bless you servants of the people, we now know what your running is
all about
You were simply running in, to save those who could not run out
