From over the big pond, but right next to your hearts - Love and Light to all Americans, stand tall and be proud, we should never let this evil win....never, not even for one second.
I send my deepest love and tears to everyone affected by this awful disaster. Just to let you know I am thinking of you and will stand by you, in this time of shared grief.
love always Nikki
My heart goes out to the American people at this difficult and devastatingly sad time. I feel for all those who have lots family, loved ones, friends and fellow workers. The actions of these evil terrorists has shattered the world. I pray that the persons responsible are found and punished for there crimes without the loss of too many more innocent lives. Australian people strongly support the Americans. Although we have not been directly attacked the tragic attacks on 11 September 2001 were directed at all peoples of the world.
My nephew lives and works in New York - his brother was killed in an accident in Asutralia last year and I know it would have broken our hearts completely to lose him too. Thankfully he and his fiance are both safe.
Many prayers and thoughts to those who have felt the loss deeply.

To the rescuers.....Please allow me to extend my profound sympathy to you and your noble brothers
and sisters for the unfathomable loss of all those brave heroes who, without regard for themselves, were catastrophically taken as they responded to the call of saving those in peril. The barbaric slaughter of innocent men, women and children at the WTC and at The Pentagon and in the commercial airliners involved in this gruesome attack is permanently etched in the minds of every conscientious American as well as the world community of decent peoples. I cannot begin to express the range of emotion I feel every time I see the unbelievable images of your efforts amid the carnage and wreckage at ground zero. Disbelief, numbness, sadness, anger, resolve, hope……..I can only reiterate the words I've been hearing throughout the week "God Bless you all and God bless America"
to america,
us new yorkers are strong, america is strong! we will get through this and we will kick some ass!
this message to terry from the top of the page: America fought against nazi germany in WWII. either hitler was evil or i've gotten bad information from the pbs and the discovery channels over the years. i don't know what your grandparents told you but germany was the agressor(bad guy) in europe in WWII. but i am glad you are pulling for the American cause!
My prayers go out to all the victims friends and familys. All we can do now is live day by day and pray. Angie Pittsburgh pa.

To all of those who have been affected by this
tradegy,
Our deepest condolences go out to you and
your families. Tuesday September 11, 2001 was a
day of sadness throughout the United States of
America. These terrorist attacks were meant to
take our society apart. But, in irony, we got much
closer, and the Unted States is truely United.
With our flag flying high, we now have a greater
pride our nation than any other nation in the
world. This loss was truly devastating but in the
end, good will prevail.

Dear people of the world,
As Fleming group 1, we would like to
contribute our thoughts to you. We have seen the
terrible acts of terrorism taken out on our
beautiful country, our wonderful citizens, and our
extoardinary landmarks. We have been delibratly
attacked by an unkown author of crime. Our country
stood tall throughout the night and the many days
to come after this tradegy, we will continue to
stand tall until our enemy is avenged, until peace
is brought to the many nations of the world. We
watch on Television the horid footage and
pictures, we think to ourselves, has this really
happened? and when we figure out that it has, the
sadness kicks in. We drive through our streets
looking at flag after flag, representing our
patriotism, but most of all we observe how life
moves on, everyone carries on with their lives,
sure there is sadness, but ironic as it is our
country has pulled together.
We feel that the attack was an act of mindless terrorism. Our feelings go out to those involved and to their friends and families. We feel that threatening the Afghani government is, in a way, useless. We by no means condone these actions, however, the Taliban was not directly responsible for this, and the general public in no way. They may condone these actions, but they should not be held directly responsible. Attacking them would only reinforce beliefs that we are evil. Those who say that we should 'bomb them into the Stone Age,' it has already been done. We should refrain from bombing the innocent, that would merely bring us down to Osama bin Laden's level. Sending in ground troops would be just as bad if not worse, as not only the Afghani's lives would be wasted, but also many Americans. We beleive that the U.S. should continue their demands that Afghanistan turn over bin Laden, and hope for the best. We should try to be patient. If this continues, and Afghanistan refuses to turn over bin Laden, then perhaps more action should be taken.

After the attack on our nation, we felt devastated and shocked beyond belief. At first, we didn't believe it, but now we understand the consequences of terrorism. Even though this was a disgusting act, our spirits were lifted when we saw the line of volunteers, ready to donate blood and help. Even though this terrorist act was meant to tear us apart, it has brought us closer than ever. We believe that even though bin Laden (who we think was the culprit behind this) may want to take us into war, we should not! We think that if America goes into war, it will be setting a horrible example to all of the young 'uns in the world. It will be telling us that talking things out is not the way to solve things, and that violence is the way to do things.
Even though we lost a great American landmark, we shouldn't worry about that as much as the people who lost their lives, and their families. They are suffering much more than the tourist business. Because of this, peoples' lives will never be the same and we shouldn't go hurting more innocent people.
TO ALL THOSE WHO MOURN, I OFFER EACH OF YOU THE FOLLOWING WORDS FROM THE GRAVESTONE OF THE LATE ACTOR CLAUDE RAINS (1889-1967). PLEASE DWELL ON IT CAREFULLY. I THINK IT IS TRUE, AND I PRAY THAT IT MAY BE OF SOME HELP TO YOU DURING THESE MOST ANGUISHING OF TIMES.
ALL THINGS ONCE
ARE THINGS FOREVER,
SOUL, ONCE LIVING,
LIVES FOREVER
America
Our hearts break to see
This world of misery
The river of tears that flow
The pain we thought we'd never know
Our strength is taken away
And all we can do is pray
Liberty seems so remote
Freedom is somewhere afloat
What happened to the land
Where no one could lay a hand?
What happened to a place
Where there was no age or race?
Can the time be turned around?
Can mankind rebound?
Can the silver lining of life
Help us overcome this strife?
We can all sit and cry
And keep wondering why
We can end our search for the star
That will brighten our souls from afar
Yet how can one forget
That no disaster or threat
Can take away our Hope
Our only way to cope
Even when times are tough
And the road ahead is rough
No one can steal our love
A gift bestowed from above
Anyone can give up the fight
Can lose all their might
But only very few can find within
The resolve to conquer and win
We can never lose the game
Unless we forget our aim
We can only lose our way
If from our paths we stray
We can still overcome
If with the world we become one
And put all our differences aside
If from the truth we don't hide
Life can throw a curve or two
But to yourself be true
Learn to love and love to learn
For what more can we yearn?
We have a great loss in our nation and in our hearts. We don't know all these families personally, but we have met them through our tragedy and we all pray with you.
One thing we do know is our country as a family and we will all try to be strong and find peace within us.
There will always be an empty space for each one lost, but through them we will always see the light that shines and remember their faces with smiles not sadness.God has that light on them now.
We all end up where only God knows. I know time heals our hearts, but our time now is to bond together and stay strong for one another.
We also feel for the children that are left without a father or mother, but they are not left without our prayers.
We must all remember what our parents taught us "NEVER GIVE UP",
