My sympathies are with the families of the passengers and crew.

As a previous 6 year resident of Barrow, Alaska, I have flown many, many times with Alaska Airlines and I felt safe with them in all types of weather from storms to blizzards. Even though they routinely ripped us off on plane fares... their safety record has always been good.

I have logged many 1000's of miles as an air traveler -- I once rode Alaska Airlines from LAX to Seattle and onto Juneau and Ketchican and found its service impeccable, so much so I have recommended it for years.

My warmest condolences to the family and friends of these victims.

I feel so sorry for the families and friends of the Alaska Flight 261 passengers. My condolences to the family and friends of these victims. I feel sorry for Alaska Airline as well. Alaska Airline sure is one of the best airlines I've traveled on.

It made me very sad to hear the about the recent airlines crash. My sympathies are with the families, coworkers, and those that are out there trying to salvage this unfortunate crash. I am very familiar with the area that they went down in after living in the area and going out to Anacapa Island.

My thoughts and prayers are with those on the flight and their families who will have to deal with such tremendous pain in the coming days. My heart breaks for the losses suffered by everyone, but especially for the crew members' families. I know the fear that we all live with every time we know our loved ones are working because my daughter is a flight attendant with American. God, please grant both those who perished and their families and friends, peace.

As a member of the aviation community for all of my professional life, I am always saddened by the tragedy which inevitably accompanies an accident. I know and have experienced the pain and emotional impact of suddenly loosing ones friends, colleagues, and love ones. To the employees and families of AS, as a person, and as part of this industry, I offer my sincerest sympathies to you all. Likewise to the relatives and love ones of the passengers of AS 261, my prayers and thoughts are with you. May the Good Lord give you strength.

Having lost my brother in a plane crash and then my sister the same way (Comair Flt 3272 - Monroe, MI) on her way to his funeral, I can relate with the family and friends of the victims. It has been three years since my loss and it is still hard. It does get better with time, but the worst is that every time a plane crashes it all comes back. My advice is to take advantage of any counseling that is available to you. I did not and regret it. May God bless you all in this terrible time of grief!!
