I live in Fullerton, CA...Felt the quake by first being woken up by something falling off a shelf in my bedroom...Felt what seemed like a good roller for about 2 minutes, but no damage to house or family. Aftershock a couple minutes later, again, no damage. I know this will sound strange, but these "roller" quakes don't seem to be so bad--I have only moved out here to CA 3 1/2 years ago, and these are all I have felt. Don't think I am in a hurry to feel one of those "shaker" ones though.
I hope that everyone's ok!!! Chuck and Andrea M., hope you guys are fine...but if you're anything like your brother, Brendan, Chuck, I know you slept right through it! 🙂
it felt pretty bad and long in the wilshire high rises.
we were so scared that we left our condo immediately and we spend the night in our car near a park
it reminded me of 1994 earthquake which made it even more scary
I really felt for the victims of this year's quake around the world
I am a lawyer from Navotas, Metro Manila, Philippines. There are many Filipinos in the affected area, including my sister Vicky. My other sister had talked to her at around 6 a.m. Los Angeles time and Vicky said that it really was a big quake but says she's okay. I hope and pray that everyone in the affected area are okay. Please take care and God bless.
I live in Kingman, Arizona and I felt the earthquake this morning. I was awakened from a dead sleep, sat right up in bed, with my dog on my lap scared to death. Living in Arizona all my life and not use to experiencing earthquakes, I thought I was losing my mind. It was very scary and I didn't think the shaking would every stop. I live about 250 miles from the actual site of the earthquake, I can't imagine how it must have felt for people that lived nearby the actual site. Hope everyone is o.k.
We are here in Palm SPrings and had a wild experience but no damage...pictures askew and a very nervous neighborhood...am checking my earthquake "box" for supplies and water and will probably add a few more items..
We hope everyone in Fort Irwin is ok. Don't know if you felt it. Our prayers and thoughts are with all, especially our friends. You can let us know how you are doing, by emailing pittfam@bbtel.com. Take care, The Pitt Family

My brother is stationed at Camp Pendleton. Any news from there?
Well Wishes from The Great Lakes!
Let me foreshadow by saying I live in Northridge,ca...I was up changing my smoke alarm because it kept beeping, next thing I know my house is swaying from north to south and it was soft then a little more rough then softly stopped....a few minutes later there was a little aftershock and a blue flash outside and the power went off...what a great start to my weekend.
In Santa Ana the shaking was strong, but not as strong as the two previous ones this decade. Lots of transformers arcing blue in the sky. Power was lost for about one hour but all is fine. My pet cockatiel is still shaken however.
I have a son stationed on the USS Princeton which is at port in San Diego. Were they affected by the quake?
My father lives in San Diego, can anyone let me know how it is over there. Is there alot of damage. My prayers are with all that are affected by this horrible act of nature.
