We live in Las Vegas, Nevada. At about 2:40a.m. we woke up with our bed shaking and the verticals on our windows rattling. I couldn't believe it was tremors! Coming from the North East part of the U.S. I have never experienced anything like that. My heart goes out to anyone who has ever experienced such pain and loss with an earthquake.

Hi,,,
Hope everyone is O.K.
We go though alot of pain everyday.
But when something hits home, like a earthquake,
People are there for you, and draw close.
But people like Jimmy Crackcorn
need to get a life
or help one or the other.

Jimmy Crackcorn is right about one thing he does need help. How does he find humor in something so serious? Maybe someday he'll grow a brain and be normal!

I have lived in southern california all my life and I have had my share of earthquakes. I live in Imperial valley about four miles from the Mexican border I felt the quake here last night it was minor . I do remember a 6.9 quake that hit in, OCT.1979 here in the Imperial Valley and it caused a lot of damage .people around here say that a big quake usually hits in the month of october . Is there any scientific evidence of an increase in seismic activity during this time of year??????!!!

Yesterday's quake woke us up in Lake Havasu Az. Rattled the wind chimes, the windows, swung the hanging sculptures for several minutes. Friend's had some small sculptures tip over, splashing pools, very minor stuff. I'm from the Bay area & have experienced many. This one was reminiscent of the Eureka quake in its direction of motion, but not as strong as far as shaking. That one lasted much longer. This began with a shake & culminated in a single roll.

Everyone should lay off jimmy. If you don't have a sense of humour about a little quake like this one you won't survive the big one!
