To all who are worried about their loved ones in Ýstanbul,
Please note that the only region that is affected by the earthquake is the AVCILAR region, all others are ok.
Also, I want to thank all those of you who helped either by coming here to Turkey, by donating money, by praying for us and feeling for us.
Thank You.
The people of Turkey are not forgotten - our prayers and donations are still coming to you.

I prepared a little archive of families who lost their home and at least one member of their families by the earthquake in Turkey.
I will send anyone who wants to communicate directly and help by one to one, the names, addresses and telephone numbers of these families.
My E-mail is Selkacamak@hotmail.com
You may confirm the information which I provided from the Turkish Government Earthquake Crisis Center ( E-Mail is Krizmasa@basbakanlýk.gov.tr ) if necessary
I realized that on many earthquake boards people are worrying about their friends who live in Istanbul. In Istanbul, only a very very small part of city was damaged. So, don't worry about your friends there.
To v. tannehill,
as far as i know, there is no big damage in Zonguldak except few buildings and number of death there is 3 or less.
In the last aftershock on 31 August, one person is killed in Ýzmit when a brick hit his head and 200 people wounded; some jumping off the balconies or from windows. Earthquake victims are having severe psychological problems after the devastation. Many cannot sleep and feel as if the earth is still moving. Large number of psychiatrists and psychologists are serving in the earthquake areas. ALso, children are treated and kept busy in large tents full of toys and books under the supervision of kindergarden teachers and pedogologists. All these professionals are volunteers and trained accordingly. More news to follow. Thank you all.
I am trying to find news of my brother. He is an Australian living in Turkey. His name is Yusef (Peter) Bladen-Pryor. His last contact address was P.T.T. P.K.I. Merter Istanbul. Anyone knowing his whereabouts please let me know. I would be most grateful. Mrs. Joy Foster. Australia
To Joy Foster:
Try this board also http://deprem.ulakbim.gov.tr/pano/index.html
where volunteers in crisis centers may help. It is a board in Turkish but you can post it in English. I am sure posters there will translate to Turkish.
To Joy Foster:
Here are translations of what you will see on this board in Turkish, i think, which will be enough to post:
