I am looking for news about Hope Town. My sister Tanny Key, or Ira, or Lisa Key. Please put something on board. I am in Nassau, and we had lots of damage but fortunately no casualties. Telephones are almost back to everyone. Electricity is coming back as well. Thru word of mouth heard that Eleuthera is in bad shape but fortunately no casualties. Plenty boats sunk, and two fishing boats have sunk as well. Plenty businesses inMarsh Harbor have plenty damage. They have no phones in Abaco (including cellullar) because Batelco's office is flattened.
Elbow Cay split in two right at the point of the Abaco Inn. In Green Turle one house had six feet of water inside the house. Man-o-War is under mandatory evacuation (someone reported about MOW thru a some sort of radio). No news about Guana Cay. The Bahamas Prime Minister is supposed to go by plane at 4:00 this afternoon and there will be a special report at 7:00. will try to report some more tonight. But please if anyone know anything about Hope Town in particular please post it or e-mail me to mimiligh@batelnet.bs
Also the road to Cherokee is all washed up.

Does anyone have any information about how Great Harbor Cay fared?

My father Dr. Richard Howell has had a home in Hopetown many years...he is very concerned for all his friends on the island and also his home. SOMEBODY please mail me information regarding destruction to the only place on earth he finds peace of mind!

I have a friend at work who has family in New Smyrna Beach. They do not have e-mail. I am aking for them. How has that area fared from Floyd. Family members were toosick to be moved and they are very anxious about the conditions left after floyd has gone thorugh.

Does anyone know if there has been any damage to the Charleston Area yet?

I spoke to a friend in Summerville via phone around
5:00. She said it's heavy winds and steady rains.
Really howling. Didn't have too much time to elaborate,
other than to say the power went out around 3:00.
