Update for people asking about Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach, Port Orange, Ponce Inlet, New Smyrna Beach::
There was a mandatory evacuation for everyone on the barrier islands and all mobile homes for Volusia County and surrounding counties. The damage seems to be beach erosion, washed out roads (near Ponce Inlet) power outages, signs downed, some areas have been asked to boil water. As far as I have heard everyone was allowed back home this afternoon. No deaths were reported. There have been a few very large trees fall on houses, one in Daytona(mainland) even two here in Orlando. But no one was hurt. By the way, the Daytona Beach Pier didn't start to fall down until after the storm had passed. About noontime today.

looking for any imformation on Abaco Island aroung Sunshine Beach area near Turtle Hill.
Iam looking for info on GREEN TURTLE CAY wondering about the cross and roberts family I know they are fine am wondering about structural damage.
An on-site report from a friend who went to Harbour Is. today:
There was no loss of life on Harbour Island. I was only there for a very
short time.
Lots of trees were down. Worst of which is that the Famous, Signature Fig
Tree is GONE! Beach erosion is similar to that of Andrew. Valentine's dock
is gone, as is the HI Marina Dock. The Landing lost a good portion of the
roof. Not a tremendous amount of structural damage as compared with Andrew.
All and all, the island fared well. In fact, as I was leaving at sunset,
the street lights were coming on. Again, I was only there for about an hour
and didn't get to see everything.
That is all for now.
Any info on the condition of Brunswick/St Simons Island, Ga... Heard storm surge was high.

We are looking for information regarding Leisure Lee, Abaco. Leisure Lee is a resort owned and managed by Cindy Roberts Newell and her mother Florence Roberts. It is located between Marsh Harbor and Treasure Cay. Florence left Leisure Lee to go to Nassau leaving her only daughter Cindy and son-in-law Ed Newell behind. As of 7:00 p.m. this evening there has still been no word from them. We don't even know if Leisure Lee exist any longer. The only reports we are getting is that Abaco is demolished. If anyone has any information regarding Cindy (Roberts) and Ed Newell or Leisure Lee please let us know asap. We are all anxiously waiting to here from them. Our prayers go out to each and everyone of you.
Thanks,
