Fuel is becoming available in Marsh Harbour. They are supposed to bring some diesel up. I guess for the Mercedes that don't run on gas.

Fuel (gasoline) is being pumped by hand at TC gas docks. Very slow, long lines.

Power is on in the "downtown" area of TC. Stores, etc. Nothing in the residential areas to include the villas.

The grocery store is open. Food no problem.

No problem for flights getting in or out.

He says conditions are bad and getting worse regarding personal comfort. Mosquitos are about to overwhelm them. He is still not advising anyone to come down unless they absolutely have to. If you do come, bring bug spray and toilet paper.

There is still no water to drink.

That is about it.

We are happy to report that our gang at the Green Turtle Club are in good spirits and are hoping to reopen for our Millenium/Floyd Party. Our Manager Meredith Hoffman concerns us somewhat as she was in South Miami for Andrew and seems to take the eyes of major hurricanes as a normal part of life!
On a serious note, our girls who work in the restaurant are from the Cooperstown and Foxtown areas. Most of them have lost their homes and the area has been devastated, particularly Foxtown. Although these towns are not as well known to the message board as the Hopetowns and Green Turtles they are in serious need of any type of aid. At present they are running out of water and food supplies are very low. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone has a report on damage at Bluff House and the villas, please contact me. If there is a way to communicate with Bluff House this would be helpful.

Lighthouse side of Hope Town Harbor, property just south of Hide-A-ways. We are hoping someone can give us a report on status. Doris Tasker living in house on property and Marina on houseboat at dock with family. Also, status of Lighthouse Marine. Appreciate any info. Thanks.

Have been tracking hurricane Floyd with interest. Hope the folks on the Thimble Islands, Stoney Creek, CT are OK. Took a boat trip around the islands during our visit over from the UK.

Most of you know of the devastation in Whitesound on Elbow Cay.
If you are not familiar with the area and wish to have some idea of what it looked like before
Floyd and where the houses were, you can see a picture at:

The picture is an aerial taken from the SW looking NE and shows from the Abaco Inn to Sea
Spray. Tankship and the houses on the West side of the road are not visible.
Wind Swept is owned by Keith and Mary Leckie
Sea Oats : Steve and Marjory Dodge (Cruising guide to Abaco)
Starboard Tack : Ron Bushie
Rockybay : Harry & Kathy Weldon
Sand Castle : Justin & Cheryl Noice (Justin is moderating the Abacoboard)
Out Islander : Bill & Helen Rawls
Bahama Breeze : Ted & Babs Pasternick
Third Sunrise : Jim Blumberg
We are all pretty much aware of the extent of the loss but would welcome any first or
secondhand information.

thanks

Have heard nothing about Lofty Fig or Sid

If anyone happens to see Scotty from ABACO TOWNS please tell him Maggie and Pat send him our thoughts and prayers.
