Incredible! It has completely stopped raining, their is NO wind, the
tree frogs are singing and the ocean looks like a huge mirror from here.
There is power at West End and the numerous lights are reflected in the still
waters across the harbor.
The lightning, thunder and rain all vanished, as if a magician has just
performed his charms.
Very eerie. Very nice!

In St. John's, Antigua this morning at 10 AM, things are pretty quiet right now. Some light gusts and rain earlier. Most businesses are closed as is the arport at this moment. Any news from San Juan or St. Croix ?
I am writing from St. Thomas, right now we are experiencing some rain and winds- last night and in the early morning there was thunder and lighting however that has stop for now it is suppose to start again in a couple of hours. The ground is very saturated so any amount of rain would mean flooding. There is small streams of water flowing off the hills. We are just waiting to see what happens. We are keeing our hopes up that there will be minimal damage.
PLease give me as much info as you can on hurricane Lenny wher eit is now? POwer? I have heard it is now straight on st martin & my boyfriend lives there Pls give me all info I am worried for all my friends.

Is there power and phones on St. Thomas? Have any roads been shut due to flooding? Is the airport open?

Up here in Houston we are thinking of St. Croix. We have 2 sisters in Frederiksted (McManus') and many friends and we are wondering if all is okay. If anyone knows any info about them, their family in Houston is concerned. Thanks.
Renee
For anyone interested in St. Thomas there is a live radio talk show presently going on hosted by Lane Bryant (sp?)in St. Thomas on or about 99 on the AM chanel. You can call her live and perhaps get info. Antigua has fairly steady tropical storm winds now coming out of the south. No significant rain yet.
what is it like in Puerto Rico? Did Lenny hit Puerto Rico? I have friends that live there and i am concerned about them.
It is very hard to get any info so far up here in Newfoundland. Most of my family is in St. Croix. I am quite worried. If any one has any information regarding my brother Orlando Ramirez or my sister, Elsie and my mother, please let me know. I cannot get through to anyone and the news in minimal. Thanks.
P. S. I would also like to know how my dear friends, the Evangelistas and Elsie Blanc are faring.
Weet iemand iets over de situatie op Sint Maarten???Mijn broer woont daar en het eiland is onbereikbaar
The thunder and lightning has subsided. Front yard is over a foot deep
in water, harbor looks like one big mud slide. Incredibly, a 300' freighter
has arrived in Wet End heavily loaded with sand. Earlier I saw a sailboat
mast moving erratically and then it stopped suddenly and began rocking back
and fourth. I do not know if it was a manned boat or one that got loose and
crashed into something. I could just see the mast movement over the roofs of
the little shopping area at Pusser's on Frenchmans Cay.
We are enjoy a very cool breeze interspersed with chilling rain. The
neighbors are hammering and pounding, rushing to get their shutters up. I
hear a dull roar arriving, have no idea what it is.
