At about 6:00PMEST I spoke to Alain Haillant, GM of Dauphine Telecom on the French side. His preliminary assessment was that the wind damage was slightly worse than George but much less than Louis. Power was back on in Marigot and some parts of Grand Case though there were a large number of areas without power. His phone compaany was able to restore service this morning after the winds subsided.
He said that he was able to drive to Simmpson Bay. The hotels looked like they were in good shape. The roads were also passable. He said the Maho Beach Hotel took a beating up on the point on the property.
I am to contact him again tomorrow moring and will revert to you.
All the best
This Rosamond van der Linde reporting in to ask how everyone is on Sint Eustatius. We are all holding our breath. Heard that the Island was so beautiful for the Queen's arrival. What a shame and all of you barely got picked up after Georges last year. Let us know how everyone is. Hoping all are safe.
Does anyone have information on Antigua. Daughter and grandchidren living there?

NEWS FROM ST. BARTH
Received cell phone call from daughter staying at Hotel Manapany in Anse des Cayes (north coast)
Hotel had some windows blown out but is "liveable", they and many others are at airport trying to leave island. Airport is presently closed, but one plane did land and leave. They report no electricity, phone, water, food or gasoline.
Would be very grateful for any information on St. Barths, and especially the St. Barths Beach Hotel and La Residence St. Barths.
We have clients who are scheduled to arrive there on Monday, and we have been unable to reach the property by phone.
Many thanks,
Lori Gedon
