Clashes Continue in the Urus-Martan District

Armed clashes with the Russians continue in the
Urus-Martan District. Near the villages of Goyskoye, Saadi-Khutor, and Alkhazurovo the mujahideen attacked Russian checkpoints. A Russian formation was attacked near Roshni-Chu. There is no information about Russian casualties.

In the town of Urus-Martan mobile mujahideen units continue to carry out operations against certain groups of Chechen traitors. A car with 5 traitors was destroyed last night in the eastern outskirts of Urus-Martan.

After the destruction of a Russian column near Argun, single Russian units still remain in the Dzhalka Forest. A Chechen sub-unit engaged in fighting with one of these groups roving in the forest.

The mujahideen attacked and killed eight Russians. Four Russians remained alive and were taken prisoners. Obviously, the destroyed unit consisted of OMON men and of cover units of the Russian ministry of defence.

According to corrected data, in the fighting near Argun the Russians lost 7 armoured vehicles and 84 men. One of the wounded mujahideen died last evening.
