About Trepca
Looks like the greeks have a big contract with mining complex and use Trepca units. It doesn't tell me if they own Trepca or even if they invest in Trepca proper. theyr site falls short of the information needed to make an opinion.

• BOR
In February 1998 the Group signed a long-term collaboration agreement with the RTB BOR mining and metallurgical complex in Serbia, which is the largest copper mining and production unit in Europe. This agreement consists of six seven-year contracts, whose total value is estimated at more than a billion USD. These contracts cover the following areas: Mytilineos' participation by 40% in the total investment concerning the modernization of the copper production plant. supplying the mines and the smelter with the necessary equipment, including supply of spare parts. supplying the complex with zinc to produce brass and other alloys from Mytilineos' production in the Zletovo and Trepca units. providing RTB-BOR with working capital. meeting the needs of the RTB-BOR complex for ores by approximately 40% through suppliers of the Group. receiving the largest part of BOR's production of electrolytic copper, gold and silver.

On May 18, 2000, Belgrade Court awards $47 million to Mytilineos Holdings S.A. in a lawsuit against JUGOBANCA, the largest Bank in Yugoslavia, for non payment of protested Bank Guarantees. The Court adjudicated to MYTILINEOS the amount of approximately $47 million, with statutory interest from August 16, 1999 until full payment. The Management of Mytilineos welcomed the Court's decision. Mr. Evangelos Mytilineos, the Chairman of the Board, has personally committed to donate 3 million DEM as soon as the award compensation is received, to alleviate the suffering of the public of the friendly neighboring country. This will be done in cooperation with the Greek Embassy in Belgrade.

I've got one, not bad:
The Trepca complex doesn't even belong to a serbian entity!

On August 11, 1999, in response to articles in the Greek press, the Group stated that the cooperation agreements with the TREPCA mines were signed in full conformity with the procedures and laws of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Therefore, there is need for any renegotiation. Furthermore, the Group exercised its right of first mortgage, a process, which, when completed in a few weeks, will bring the TREPCA metallurgy under the direct ownership and control of MYTILINEOS. The Group expressed its confidence that the NATO peacekeeping forces in Kossovo will safeguard the business interests of Greece, an EU and NATO member country. The Group mentioned that the TREPCA mines represent approximately 10% of its turnover and the investment there is insured by the Greek Export Credit Insurance Organization.

"Seizure of Zvecan gives UNMIK control of the Trepca mines. Already an agreement has been signed with a group of major mining companies, ITT Kosovo Consortium, to begin rehabilitation of the complex. Some $16 million is forthcoming from the EU, the United States, France, Italy, Holland and Sweden. "

I wonder what the Mytilineos Group is doing at the moment in Kosovo...

Hi, Dimitri, L'menexe,

My mailbox is still there! No worries.
received email from D, but not from L',
maybe the prob is at you end, sir.

Trepca!!- Are we saying that as it is a major employer of Serbs and Yugoslav exporter, that Nato have ceased control. Or is there something it exports that the West wants, or?????????????
L'menexe is this what T'gunns was referring to?

I thought the Baron was HM! Certainly not Allam, but there seems to have been a change in tone since he first appeared. What happened to Alehandro?

Have family over to stay, please excuse me if i don't get back right away.
Best of days (Geneva 32 in the shade!!!)

well mum...
you may recall there used to be the 'articulate' allFAKE and the 'gross pig' allFAKE...unless, as the theory went, there were axually 2 people switching off.
it just seemed odd to me that _anyone_ would give this 'mustafa/selim' a shred of credibility unless they was them...
and the =koff= 'baron' has such a poor grasp of the dialect he attempts to speak in...and all 3 use all-caps...
==
alehandro wrote me and you got that forward, yes?
he may not be online at present, but he wanted to wish you well when you were hurt; he wrote to my nigh-abandoned 3rd address.
==
i didnt understand the tg reference, though we 'spoke' a bit on the yugo page last week...
==
alrighty then!
