"A Russian woman and a teen-age girl reportedly have been released after
months of captivity and torture in Chechnya.

Alla Geifman, 13, was freed Thursday after a special operation in the town of
Shali, which was recently taken by government troops as part of the Russian
military's campaign to gain control of Chechnya, the ITAR-Tass news agency
said Friday.

Geifman, the daughter of a businessman, was abducted seven months ago in the
southern Russian region of Saratov. Kidnappers demanded $5 million for her
release, and when they did not get the money, they cut off one of her fingers,
and then another, sending a videotape of the torture to her father."

Serb must get his facts from the Serbian Press. The damage he claims that NATO suffered indicates he is a victim of the Serbian propoganda machine. I dont blame Serb for his ignorance, obviously, Serbia puts out very effective propoganda. Serbs seem to protest with the push of a button by Milo's finger. I started to counter many of Serbs statements but lost my energy when I realized how ignorant he is. I dont have the time to educate him. The Chechens will prevail in the end not because of western support.

They tend to ignore those things because its not happening to them. I just saw it on BREMYA and the girl said she did not hate all Chechens.

Its common knowledge that NATO lost a few planes and had others damaged. They were using advanced Soviet AAA systems of course. And its no secret that the US and Soviets use depleted uranium rounds to penetrate armour. Serb simply invalidates his comments by using such inflated numbers and outrageous claims. Dont get me wrong, I have my own set of problems with NATO and US foreign policy.
