This is not exactly accurate. The war started after fundamentalists invaded Dagestan and there is a chance the explosions were simply a revenge for the antiterrorist operation in Dagestan. But by then Russian army certainly had enough reasons to try to sort out things in Chechnya, that's why the conspiracy theory doesn't really fly.

I have a trenchant dislike for Islam and Christianity, because I have personally suffered at the hands of marauding packs of Islamic zealots in my country of origin, besides being a target of fanatical Christian missionaries. Jewish intransigence and narrow-mindedness all pale into
