In the past weeks Maskhadov made a series of tactical military and political mistakes, which led to the loss of Gudermes, Alkhan-Yurt, Shali, Urus-Martan and a number of other rebel strongholds. Maskhadov's decision to remain in Grozny and to continue with futile resistance caused a number of Chechen field commanders to start seeking a way out of the war. About 20 Chechen commanders are currently negotiating with federal authorities. Maskhadov's decision to enlist 14-17-year-old teenagers in the Chechen "army" caused a number of Chechen rebels to turn away from their President. This was also a major reason for surrender of Gudermes by Yamadayev brothers - well-known Chechen rebel commanders in charge of the city's defenses. Yesterday Maskhadov's office announced that he stripped the Yamadayev brothers of their military rank and accused them of treason. BOSNA this is for you

Roger you are shmako and you know that. ••••••• taxpayer! Don't forget to pay your taxes. Uncle Sam

They paid $60 mln to the IMF, but the stupid war is costing 4e9 Russian rubbles a month, and is not going to end soon, so despite your optimism, Mother Russia is heading to another financial disaster, just because you, Russians, are so fond of waging wars.

P.S. By the way, this is one of the reasons why Russians are not respected in the world.

I have great respect for Russia. It gave birth to hundreds and hundreds of great minds. Some decided to stay in Russia, some immigrated. None the less, they were Russians.

Balalaika -

I want to understand where you are coming from.
Where were you born? Where do you live now?
Why such hate toward Russia?

Thank you.

2 Armenian,

And the weirdest thing about the whole Chechen war, IMHO, is the Chechens now identify Russians with Germans, and Grozny - with Stalingrad in 1943. There is even Pavlov's building in Grozny now (thanks to Russian barbaric tactics).

None of your business. You are not my pastor, dude.

And still, historically the Russia has been so bellicose that it ranks above only the Tataro-Mongols (from whom Russias can delianate there descendants, it seems. There were too many interracial marriages...).

2 Balalaika,
Chechens can identify Russians with what they want to. Even with thier friends Nazis. They just don't deserve to be independent. You will see a proof of it in the nearest future. Give them a year and they will rip Georgia apart.
Regarding your remark that Russians are not respected, I have no idea where you get it from. Maybe you are saying for yourself. It's okay. But don't say "in the world". It sounds too blant.

Balalaika, Tatars are good people too. Don't forget how many times Russia was invaded. And how many states America got from Maxico? Now, we all want to be nice and pichy. When we have what we want, we can lecture others what they should do and what they shouldn't. Sorry, it will not work just because it never did.

2 Armenian,

As for Georgia, as far as I know, they are much more afraid of remaining Russian troups on Gergian soil than with Chechens themselves. And relations between Gerogia and Russia have even worsened recently, due to inresponsive Russian bombings oof Georgian territory, which they (Russians) later did not admit (thinking that everybody except them is stupid...).

Talking about "the world", I make generalization, which is obviously based on my personal experience, and you may dispute this. Just one example. Recently went on a business trip to Balkans, and heard so many jokes about "Ivan" from Yugolvavians (whom Russia consider allies), so that you can imagine what was the attitute to Russians from other nationals.

Play in 5 acts by Armenian
1. NATO bombs Serbia. Smaller nations are terrified.
2. Slavs seek revange and start war in Chechnya.
3. Russian millitary machine is back on line.
4. Russia gets new orders from smaller nations for its weaponry systems. But civic order is needed to keep up with production.
5. Dictatorship is back to Russia and history repeats itself.
World's turning around. Curtain lowers. Public aplodes.
