The biggest reason. Yogoslavia is a soverein country. Nato has no right to be there. U.N yes Nato no! The reason we pursued this with nato is because Russia and China say no way they hold veto power therefore NO U.N. invasion.

My other concerns are they did not ask us to go there.. If the majority of the people serbs and albanians wanted us there that's one thing I don't think they care or give a •••• about democracy. I say was because for Serbia to get it back from the Kosovar Albanians theres going to be a nasty war. Plus I don't see Serb troops trying to move back in while NATO troops are still there. As far as the UN handeling the situation in Kosovo that would have been the right course of action to take but my feeling is the UN would have never acted and if it did we would just have seen another Bosnia where UN troops stood arround while civilans were gunned down. Who knows now that the whole Kosovo question is mot. Now the question is whats the answer to the problems of the region and are they fixable. If somebody has the answer to fixing all the strife in the balkins for good they should be elected to head the UN.
