THE PROBLEM IS THAT WE ARENT INVOLVING GOD IN OUR EARTHLY AFFAIRS, NOT THAT THE WHOLE THING IS GETTING TOO INTERMIXED...HAHA AS IF THERE COULD BE SUCH A THING...

This is a sad day indeed, and no one is cheering, not even the Russians.
What I can't understand is the F**ed up vision of the Chechen fanatics-uderscored cheerfuly by the western propaganda-, who see this day as a 'tactical retreat' or deliver phrases like :"We have fullfield our goals".
Well, indead, they have killed a lot of Russians, but at what price? The city they claimed to 'defend' is left in ruins, and -given the current state of the Russian economy- will be a grim desert for the decade to come. This looks like a victory? Over whom? Over the civilians left in the ruins- who are the real loosers in the war? How can you claim yourself to be a 'Freedom figher" when the only proof of your actions is a ruined city?
I can not cheer up for the Russian victory -it wil leave a bitter mark in the history-, but I feel no pitty for the so called 'freedom fighters', who choose to 'bravely' opose the Russians in their own capital, under the civilian shield (do you really think that the so much glamourised high-risers who served the Chechen snipers would stand up today without the fear of the civilian casualties? a single bunker-penetrating bomb could do the job of blowing them up).

They could have fought in the mountains, where they would still have the advantages of the territory- but they choose Grozny.. just to have a "glorious retreat" and leave the city in smoking ruins, and thousands of civilians dead or crippled beacause of the bombardments.

I can not understand the sick minds who continue to cheer for those actions. They don't care on their own people, all they care is killing the others, and whoever is sympathethic with their way should take the first oportunity to join them and die like them.

PS: Ask a Muslim how they portray the heaven... you will find out interesting things 🙂

I am Orthodox Christian too (but not I am not a Russian)...choosing the Khattab nick is intended to be ironic... Have you really read my post? Do you find it supportive for the rebels by any means? Do you find me cheering up for the western propaganda? (I live in the US).
No my friend, I am not against the Russians, and moreover I am outraged for what happened to Kosovo under the American rule, but I wasn't really happy seing the ruins of Grozny, and you shouldn't be too, after all is a Russian town where thousands of Russians are living (proably that's why the rebels choose to fight there to the point where the town is destroyed).
Really, you should cheer the rebels defeat, but not at the ruins of Grozny.

I am a Romanian and pls don't think at all of us(the Romanians) based -for example- on the miserable official attidude during the Kosovo crisis and don't forget that the pollls showed then a big outrage against the NATO bombings..
