The China example, concerning Taiwan, had been brought out in an "emotio-humanitarian" way. Well, the "West" loses against China, and it shows - Hong Kong handed over without fight. Taiwan will be the next. The previous year the US had been compelled to part with/from the Panama Canal, which is now managed/ruled by the Hong Kong company (i.e. Chinese). What about the US Navy?

THE DAGESTAN CONFLICT IN A PERSPECTIVE: MOSCOW, MAKHACHKALA AND
GROZNY, 2 AUGUST - 19 SEPTEMBER
*Remind me, what year? 1999
Constitution 1991!

based on the Stalin era memories-

*Chechnia existed as a state before the bolsheviks. Same could be said of most central European states- Apart from Yugosl., where ethnicty screwed things up, these are doing well enough.

The so-called field commanders had absolute power.
Since gangs need to sustain themselves - hence criminal activity within the
framework of the ruined local economy-
* The same can be said for downtown Moscow or Belfast for that matter.

I thought there was a general consensus that prosperity breads stability-
prosperity can be brought about by fostering trade relations for instance. long term strategy.
Provide an alternative to crime????????????

heck, when Serbs agreed to terms, the terms were immediately
modified to the unacceptability, talk of hypocricy.
*Wasn't the point to reach agreement that could hold on all sides?
See Northern Ireland- back to the drawing board.
Kim.
ps
Sorry about the cynisism comment. I meant it sounds like you've been there and back.
Peace

Now tell me is Russia any more likely to go for a head on collision with China, than Europe is with Russia.
These nuclear bomb thingies- make you think twice.
Perhaps we should ask the muslim nations to go on a jihad for us.
Oh right, they're not helping the Chechens either are they!

Infidels with their "Dead Consciences" are like "Living Dead". Worse than Sub-Humans. Filth is their abode here and in hereafter. Sworn enemies and aliens to morality and piety. Anything not X-Rated and X-Rated like the Kuwaiti martydom is beyond the comprehension of these "Dead Morons". They thrive and flourish in Gutter.

* Chechnya never existed as state. Only territory by such name.
* The same can be said for downtown Moscow or Belfast for that matter.
* Well, obviously the British can afford it. RF can't.

* It was Dudaew's problem, then Maskhadow's during their "independence". They had eight years.
Wasn't the point to reach agreement that could hold on all sides?
* Serbs were pressed - not the Tachists.
Now tell me is Russia any more likely to go for a head on collision with China, than Europe is with Russia.
* Even in the coldest days in their relations they didn't forget about the common ideological root. Europe's still not finished washing its dirty underwear piled from the old USSR days.
These nuclear bomb thingies- make you think twice.
* Heh. An example - the "evil" North Korea. The US, "Human Hypocritical Watch" etc. call it any "human rights" spaghetti they can, but ... knowing, that those are enough crazy to wipe out the whole neighbourhood and more, - no Serbia-style "humanitarian" adventurism occur, only yapping.
And small states around globe learned a fine print - being no match to conventional weapons mass of US/NATO-whatever- "great libertarians", they now think it a nice idea to get nuclearized themselves. Induced nuclear proliferation. There's a demand - supply should be nearby.
Perhaps we should ask the muslim nations to go on a jihad for us.
* To get said nations buried?;o)

==================================================
- except there have been "small scale" border problems, like re china's nuclear tests on Russian citizens (or was that visa versa?)- Russia and China - a common ideology??
Proliferation?? - broke the Soviet economy.
Who's dirty underwear is it, anyway? Chuck it out.
China sort of out-numbers the rest of the northern hemisphere's population.
Anyway an end to Colonial Rule might seem worth it,to some Hong-Kong Chinese
We don't act in isolation, actions have knock on effects in unexpected parts of "the global villiage(ghetto?)"

Igor, I am with you. We will take care of the arabs and chechens, but we need to leave some alive to oppose greater threat-jews. So let us see them kill each other. Why don't we just push them across the border to grusins or armenians. Why should Russians do the dirty job? Let the other black do the Final Solution.

In the
early 1800's, an ever expanding Imperial Russia, conquered
the Chechens, after a lengthy engagement. Chechnya,
officially, became a part of Russia in 1859.

At which point I believe, the Prussians had just managed to rid themselves of the French, before going on to form the German Kaisersreich.
Considering its consequent history-Do you recognise Germany as a sovereign state or just a region. What about Austria?

Igor, another threat is Europe, Yes the fat pigs there as well as here in the USA comptetly lost their racial solidarity with us. It is common practice for the rest of the world to sell out our mother Russia. Chechens is hardly an issue for us, the greatest spit in our face was done by Albright and other jews when they raped Serbia last spring and all the ••••••• europe was watching them do it. I am no longer consider myself a european, it became to be shameful. Russians are respected when we are feared, I am sad to admit it, we must be strong, the "civilized world" is a bunch of bull! Only Russia herself can and must protect her purity and borders and economy, as we have done for hundreds of years. All the infection within must be exterminated. There should be no mercy to enemies of Russia let it be chechen, brit or american or jew. How many times we were betrayed by everyone!!!

The Biggest terrorists are Putin & co. who destroyed an entire city so he could be President.

I say, let this unqualified former spymaster be President. A corrupt gangster run country like Russia is not going to exactly improve under him
