Sorry mate, but Latvians,Lithuanians, Estonians in general are far from fascist. Don't know what their gov is up to, but these are people who stood in front of Russian tanks without weapons. 20 people including a 14 year old girl were crushed by said tanks when I worked in Vilnius.
I saw 16 year olds who were ready to die for their independence.
Calling them Nazis, is a blanket statement, like all Russians are lazy bastards.

During the second world war the Baltic states were between a rock and a hard place, invaded first by Stalin, then Hitler, then Stalin again. A lot of really strange things went on in the name of survival.(Given a choise between Stalin and Hitler, I can't say I would find it easy to choose) I suggest you check your facts first.

Did I touch a raw nerve, as there are no representatives of the Baltic states present and I have nothing but positive experiences of them,
I happend to be going out with a Russian at the time-(remember I said I had come across you hot-blooded russians before!!)- I felt I owed it to them to defend them.

So the majority of them don't like Russians-
I wonder why. I refer here to their historical experience. From what I have heard tonight, I get the feeling Russians don't like them either.

A point I would like to make is, that particularly under Stalin- Nazi sympathisers were ruthlessly persued and dealt with. It is only since the collapse of communism that it has been possible to pursue Stalin's Henchmen. By all accounts no better than the SS.

Also reason that there was a majority of Russians in Latvia was due to relocation/deportation/repopulation methods of the soviets. A Sad and sorry fact of life.
I feel sorry for the individuals, but hell look what was done to the Latvian State.
