An interesting interpretation of latest developments in Persian Gulf and "Chechnia" connection:

...Speaking of Putin, he met today with Madeline
Albright in Moscow. The meeting didn't go well
because of the "Chechen issues": the US, apparently,
finds it difficult to deal with Russia's latest military
victories in the province. American political
leadership hoped for another bloody and pointless war
in Chechnya. In the past couple of weeks it became
increasingly clear that Russia is winning its struggle
against international terrorism. The US is very
unhappy (hahahahahaha!-FC). As soon as her plane left Russian airspace,
Albright ordered the US Navy ship in the Persian Gulf
to intercept a Russian tanker smuggling oil from Iraq to
the United Arab Emirates. The vessel is owned by
Volgoneft - a Russian oil shipping company - and was
intercepted and bordered by the US Navy in
international waters somewhere in the area of Straight
of Hormuz...

Andrei Babitsky is (was) working for Radio Liberty. It is propaganda radio financed by CIA.

Andrei Babitsky reported from Chechen side. Always giving excuses of why Chechens cut fingers and throats of soldiers and civilians. Also often reported "great Russian losses", which usually were complete bull.

He was never kidnapped because Babitsky had documents signed by Basaev and other warlords allowing him to move freely with bandits.

Andrei Babitsky always boasted that he can get in and out of Grozny without any problems. However around January 15 he was stopped by Russian troops, perhaps by pro Russia militia men. He didn't have Russian documents that allowed him to be in Grozny at that time so he was taken into castody.

Few days later one of the Chechen warlords contacted Russians and asked to release Babitsky because he is "brother in arms who stood shoulder to shoulder with Chechens". Warlord also promised to release two Russia prisoners. Andrei Babitsky wrote that he indeed wishes, on his free will, to join the warlord (Turpal Ali Adgueriev).

Andrei Babitsky's release was taped and shown on Russian TV. It was not an exchange because Babitsky was never charged, he was simply released. Turpal on the other hand released two prisoners.

There are rumors that Andrei Babitsky is actually an American citizen and was released to Chechens because US stopped Russian oil tanker claiming it was caring Iraqi oil.

And another interesting developments regarding the grand openning of new filtration camps for "wolves of Islam" in conjunction with recent developments:

Today Russian military officials announced that a
considerable number of Russian troops will be
withdrawn from Chechnya in the very near future,
following the end of the large-scale combat
operations in the province (probably as soon as the
rebels in Alkhan-Kala are defeated.) Russian troops
raised Russian flag over the residence of Chechnya's
President Aslan Maskhadov in downtown Grozny.
According to Russian security officials, up to 200
surrendered Chechen rebels may be released in
accordance with the amnesty law in the next several
days. Most of the surrendered and captured Chechen
rebels (up to 1000 of them) are currently being held
in temporary detention facilities in Urus-Martan.
According to Russian military sources, federal troops
in Urus-Martan are quickly running out of space and
resources required to deal with the rapidly growing
number of detained Chechen rebels. The "filtration"
operation in Urus-Martan is personally supervised by
the commander of the joint group of federal forces in
the Northern Caucasus, Col. Gen. Victor Kazantsev.
Two new "filtration camps" will be created in the
village of Tolstoy-Yurt and in the town of
Chervlennaya, using a site originally prepared for the
Emergency Ministry's personnel.

And futher interpretation of US Navi- Russian Tanker conflict :-))))

Russia found an interesting way of retaliating against
the US for the detention of its tanker by the US Navy
in the Persian Gulf yesterday. Russian authorities
handed over a US citizen, Andrei Babitsky, to the
Chechen rebels in exchange for three Russian
paratroopers captured by the Chechens earlier in the
war. Andrei Babitsky is a journalist of the American
"Radio Liberty" - a propaganda media outlet financed
directly by the US Congress...

Again, the link is here

The article has some statistics regarding casualty analysis, some cool weaponry used 🙂 and photos of Babytsky's handover.

I AM SORRY BALALAIKA. I AM WRONG AND YOU ARE RIGHT. ONLY RUSSIA FIGHTS TERRORISTS-SEPARATISTS WITH WEAPONS.

INDIA AND PAKISTAN DO NOT ATTACK KASHMIRI WITH WEAPONS. NOR DO TURKS AND IRAQIS KURDS. BURMA AND THAI ARMIES DO NOT ATTACK KAREN, MON AND SHAN PEOPLE. CHINESE DO NOT SHOOT BANDITS IN "EASTERN TURKISTAN". AND SHRI LANKA GOVERNMENT IS NOT UPSET WITH TAMIL TIGERS WHO BLOW UP ONE OR TWO OF THEIR OFFICIALS ALMOST EVERY WEEK. COLOMBIA PEACEFULLY TALKS WITH COKE DEALERS-SEPARATISTS IN THE MOUNTAINS. TALIBAN HELPS AFGHANI NORTHERN ALLIANCE, AND GEORGIANS SHAKE HANDS WITH ABKHAZ PEOPLE. ARMENIANS ARE NOT WHOOPING AZERI IN NAGORNO-KARABAKH.

SHALL I GO ON MY DEAR FRIEND?
I SURELY DON'T BECAUSE THERE ARE CONFLICTS ALMOST IN EVERY AFRICAN COUNTRY AND ASIA.
