To Turk

. Chechnya is Russian territory and will remain to be. Russia is proud and brave to pick this fight alone with these mindless brutal maniacs, who is blinded by revenge to fight blood-for-blood.
Russia seems to be so predictably unpredictable - history shows that it is never as strong or as weak as it appears.
Sweden, Napoleon, Hitler and many others already try… 🙂

"As far as 1914 is concerned, Turkish history is full of Armenian atrocities. Now, question is should we hate Armenians in year 2000 for something Armenians did to our grand parents in year 1914." - Agree on this one

LOCC,

Your last posting is not something to take seriously. Go ahead and use your limited vocabulary. You are only harming your own argument.

WHAT DOES MY VOCABULARY HAVE TO DO WITH THIS TOPIC? OR YOU ARE JUST TRYING TO ESCAPE THE ANSWER? IT'S OK, USING WEBSTER DOESN'T MAKE YOU A HUMAN BEING ANYWAYS.

LOCC, I had no idea about this. I thought there are still Armenians left there...

Turk,
first of all I am not Armenian. Second, I am not saying the revenge or hostility is a solution there. I am saying that Armenians have a valid reason to be alert with such neighbor like Azerbaidjan (yes, Sumgait is an Azerbaidjani city where thousands of Armenians became victims of genocide once again) and Turkey. And I just hope that Russian leadership will identify Armenia as a natural ally in the region and will provide both military and economy support to Armenia.

Locc, you probably need to see Kurdish maps. Greater Georgia would be of some interest, too. As well as Persian Empire. This is a geographical black-jack you are advocating.

"...OTTOMAN EMPIRE HAS DONE ITS DIRTY JOB CENTURY AGO SETTING ARMENIANS, GREEKS AND KURDISH..."

Actually, not only this. They poisoned the tribes of North Caucasus with islam by force, and we are harvesting the fruits of this brainwash today...

Caucasian,

I didn't think that you were Armenian. Sorry for sounding like that. On your second point, I hope history does not repeat itself, and great nations in this area live in peace and harmony. Certainly Russia, Turkey, Armenia, and Azerbaijan has a lot to gain by cooperating for regional development.

LOCC,
I looked at your link, and I can understand why you and other Armenians are feeling bitter about this period. I also did a search and found another site on the subject. See the following:

http://www.bxscience.edu/orgs/holocaust/edguide/2.html

I copied an interesting paragraph here:

"In 1894, Armenians in Sasum fought back by refusing to pay the required taxes. Their revolt was not successful- Armenian villages were burned and thousands of people were killed by Kurdish troops. "

I certainly can not condone any barbaric act to whomever it might be directed against.

Walex,
Good point.

Well guys, about turks poisoned area with Islam: As far as I know ancient history Russian Prince Vladimir was the ruler that brought mono religion into Russia. His choice was between Eastern Christianity and... Islam. Christianity was chosen due to political reasons - Eastern Roman Empire was decided to be a more powerful ally.

Nevetheless, there was a fat chance that Russia would became an islamic country and it would happened well before Ottoman Empire came into existance.

TURK
THANKS FOR THE LINK, JUST ANOTHER PROOF...
QUOTING YOUR SITE:
"The Armenian genocide is not as well known an occurrence in history today as it deserves to be. The Ottomans succeeded in murdering a million and a half Armenians. Little attention was paid to this tragic episode in history by both the victorious allied powers at the end of World War I, and by noted historians. Thus, ignored by many, the valuable lessons which might have been learned from this Armenian genocide went largely unnoticed. If more attention had been centered on the slaughter of these innocent men, women, and children, perhaps the events of the Holocaust might never have taken place. This is the valuable lesson each of us must learn. "
