So what about imperialism? I feel pity for the people that get on these boards and function as Doomsday preachers on the USA. Your zeal is the same of a brimstone televangelist. You can all make your predictions, but it remains true that the only actions that shall transpire relate to this board.
People from other countries have an easy time saying that America is a country devoid of bravery, culture, intellect, etc. However, an imperialistic country cannot be absent of these qualities to exist under such a classification. People are implying that the position America has achieved in the world is due to reasons unknown.
So what is American? Foreigners have a hard time with this one. An explanation to this question would involve a detailed elaboration. The fact that there is no one cultural identity makes us all stronger. Having the common goals of happiness, prosperity, and an easier life are all shared components in the American ideology. This concept has been somewhat distorted in the last several years, but one that still binds our people today. People from European countries see all countries as needing to evolve similar to the process their countries have. However, this is inaccurate when regarding America. The development of this country is much different than all the other countries of the world. Just because the progression of a nation is different than the traditional model, it doesn't mean that the country is bound for doom or is absent of the components which create an identity for other countries.
