So much hatred on this message board, it's gotten out of hand. I have a problem with ignorant people and people who generalize, for example, the religion of Islam. I can't tell you much about it, but their teachings must surely not be about hijacking and entering a holy jihad. Yet all muslims are the same, that's ignorance.

Russia is going to try and save face because this war will not benefit Russia in any way. I guess the politicians can cover it up any way they want, the bottom line is this is a war that even if they capture Grozny it will not be won. They can claim it but reality will be a different story.

I know Russia has a proud history but they should raise hell back at home because this is a war without clear objectives (Vietnam)that will drag on for a long time. Yes you can drop a big bomb(nuclear) as someone here put it but the world will not let it happen. Russia should get out of this war before more lives are lost for no better reason than to get victory so he(Putin) can get elected.
