According to the English Common Law:

….al real property which a wife held ata the time of a marriage became a possession of her husband. He was entitled to the rent from the land and to any profit which might be made from operating the estate during the joint life of the spouses. As the time passes, the English courts devised means to forbid a husband’s transferring real property without the consent of his wife, but he still retained the right to manage it and to receive the money which it produced. As to a wife’s personal property, the husband’s power was complete. He had the right to spend it as he saw fit.

This information has been written with the objective of briefing you on the true Islamic teachings regarding women laid down by the Quran and prophet Mohammad over 14 centuries ago.

Islam declared women and men equal.

Islam condemned pre-Islamic practices degrading and oppressing women.

The same injunctions and prohibitions of Islam equally apply to both sexes.

Islam gave woman the right of inheritance and the right of individual independent ownership unhampered by father, husband, brother, son or anyone else.

Islam gave women the right to accept or reject a marriage proposal free from pressure, and by mutual agreement to specify in the marriage contract that she has the right to divorce (if she misses that option she has the right to seek court divorce if she deems the marriage to have failed beyond repair).

Islam does not require woman to change her name at marriage.

Islam protects the family and condemns the betrayal of marital fidelity. It recognizes only one type of family: husband and wife united by authentic marriage contract.

"Heaven is at the feet of mothers", is a basic Islamic teaching.

"The best of you are the kindest to their wives and I am your best to mine", is a teaching by prophet Mohammad.

Islam enjoins sounds morality in thinking, behavior and appearance. Dress fashions and social patterns that reduce woman to a sex object and exploit her as such are not acceptable to Islam.

The observance of chastity and moral standards is equally demanded by Islam from both men and women. "Women are the siblings of men", is a saying of prophet Mohammad.

one of the support email messages that the chechens are getting:

"Hi my name is ****, I am a 16 year old Catholic and am from Louisiana in the United States. I have been following the war in Chechnya and I have decided to write you and tell you how much I admire the Mujahideen's effort to crush the Russian Invasion. Against all odds the Muslim Freedom Fighters are suceeding against the Russian Imperialist through God(Allah).
Although I am Catholic and not a Muslim, I must say this, the Mujahideen are extremely inspirational, your people's constant faith in Allah is incredible. Your people will suceed through The Lord(Allah) in this war, it is only a matter of time. I will be honest if I could fight among side the Muslim Mujahideen against the russians I would do so in a second.
I would love to take part in this war and fight against the Russian Oppressors and help defend the Muslim people of Chechnya and abroad, but I am only 16, untrained, no military experience, and have no money to travel to Chechnya but I will save my money and send a donation as soon as information how to is posted on your site. I as a Christian will defend the Catholic religion and let you know my people DO NOT STAND BY THE Russian Orthodox Christians that continually persecute your good people. But further more my people condemn the evil actions of the Russian Christians.
I promise you not all Christians are like the Russian Imperalist you face. I have the upmost respect for your relgion and people, and honestly I think the Catholic religion would be stronger as a whole if my people could practice more the dedication and faith your people daily practice."

For your edification:

The religion doctrines, and precepts of Eliijah Mohammed (570-632 A.D.), contained in the Koran; It is said to be the true faith of obedience to the will of God and total submission. The Koran teaches 5 universally binding obligations (THE PILLARS of ISLAM); daily prayer, fasting during the month of Ramadan, pilgrimage to Mecca, almsgiving, and profession of faith. The 2 principle sects of Islam--the Sunnis and the Shi'ites--are virtually at war and jealously covet the holy shrines at Mecca and Medina. A third, much smaller Islamic sect, caleed Ismailis, are based in Paris. Their leader is the Aga Khan.

To help you understand a little further, Mohammed was the proverbial "BOY TOY", his wife was a business women 20 years older than him. She basically gave him money and the leisure to do as he pleased. He disappeeared one day and came back months later with the text of the Koran, saying that Allah had spoken to him. In many ways, Mohammed's conversation to finger-wagging peity mirrored that of Augustine of Hippo a drunk from a couple of centuries earlier, and to further help you along most of Islam was drawn from Judeo-Christian precepts which are still carried out to this day but not by Christians per say but rather by....Guess Who.

Do some research and you will also clearly see that the quote that I had earlier provided was indeed made by that phony Mohammed.

If you still wish to be further educated on the subject, rather than just blowing smoke out your ass, I am willing to extend you my precepts on Islamic Fundamentalism. Interested??

"but it doesn't mean I am going to bend on a carpet 5 times a day

By God,you will spend the rest of your life in bending if only you were fortunate enough to know the miraculous outcomes associated with these bends. Islam is the only result-oriented religion that gaurantees absolute satisfaction and peace of mind to its followers both in adversity and prosperity. "Satisfied-hearts" is an exclusive Islamic gift. Hence, the need of Islam all over the world.

first of all you obviously dont know anything about islam elijah muhhamed was not a muslim the nation of islam has nothing to do with islam.

secondly
To help you understand a little further, Mohammed was the proverbial "BOY TOY", his wife was a business women 20 years older than him

how many wives did abraham have ?
how many wives did soloman have somewhere around 400 and thats not a exageration.

Do some research and you will also clearly see that the quote that I had earlier provided was indeed made by that phony Mohammed.

and please bring me quote from the quran regarding silk.. not from elijah the fool..

He disappeeared one day and came back months later with the text of the Koran,

wrong agian.... he did not come back with the text of the quran.

(St. Paul), a man who never met Jesus (pbuh), a man who by his own admission persecuted the followers of Jesus (pbuh) by every means within his power and presided over their execution (see below), comes along. Suddenly one day St. Paul receives a vision from Jesus (pbuh), and his whole life is turned around. He now takes it upon himself through the authority of his visions to spread the word of Jesus to the whole world and to explain what Jesus really meant. Paul claims that the law of God through Moses
XE "Moses"
(pbuh) is worthless, decaying and ready to vanish away and faith in the crucifixion is the only requirement for a Christian to enter heaven (Romans 3:28, Hebrews 8:13...etc.).

In fact, the difference between the Biblical and the Quranic attitude towards the female sex starts as soon as a female is born. For example, the Bible states
:The birth of a daughter is a loss" (Ecclesiasticus 22:3).
: A daughter is considered a painful burden, a potential source of shame to her father:
"Your daughter is headstrong? Keep a sharp look-out that she does not make you the laughing stock of your enemies, the talk of the town, the object of common gossip, and put you to public shame" (Ecclesiasticus 42:11). "Keep a headstrong daughter under firm control, or she will abuse any indulgence she receives. Keep a strict watch on her shameless eye, do not be surprised if she disgraces you" (Ecclesiasticus 26:10-11).

The attitude of St. Paul in the New Testament is not brighter:
"As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission as the law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church." (I Corinthians 14:34-35)
How can a woman learn if she is not allowed to speak? How can a woman grow intellectually if she is obliged to be in a state of full submission? How can she broaden her horizons if her one and only source of information is her husband at home?

Instead of posting information to try to convice others of their views of a situation, they post there views in a manner as to stop any sort of discussion before anyone replies.
* Or think, that everybody around would unanimously share said views. (And, maybe, applaud.)
Even Muslim country like Iran is playing the same tune like other countries, Iran is thinking about their Strategic Interest, ...
* Yes, it's called realpolitik or healthy conventional wisdom.
What is more strategic than Muslim Umma , O Iran?
* Welfare of Iranian Moslem Umma.
You Iranians failed the test, a test From Almighty God.
* Iran, so far, tested negative on craziness.
You People don't have guts.
* They have brains, instead.

Addler21:

Get a grip and stop interpeting to your own liking. Rather let me do likewise and give you you several good examples of obedience taken to a logical extreme within the Koran and applied by Islamic Fundamentalism which, I am sure you will agree, is clearly a relgion composed of self sacrifice and murder for the glory of God with prayers 5 times a day, BENDING OVER AS FRED D WOULD SAY):

In the Koran (Sura 7) God asks Adam's descendants
(before they were even born!!!) "AM I NOT YOUR LOARD?" By answering "yes" they accepted Islam for all eternity. Therefore, the Muslim reciting the credo is only saying that, although everyone is born in the primeval Islamic religion, only his environment makes his holy. (Suras 29-31) speak of the jihad (holy war) against all who are "peoples of the Book (i.e., Jews and Christians)--not to spread Islam, but to enforce Islamic law. The jihad is considered the permanent duty of Muslims so long as any part of the world remains outside the jurisdiction of Islamic law. Criticism or mockery of Islam is automatically punishable by death, (WITHOUT TRIAL)

You my friend Addler will not find nothing more contemptible or evil in the world than this interpretation. Again, may I refer you to the League of Muslim Women.
