Ivan, I have been to europe and as an American not once did I feel someone did not like me or showed distrust just because i am an American. I do think Chechnya it completely a Russian problem and as far as I can see the U.S. has not gotten involved at all. Sure some politicans have said stuff about the bad treatement of chechen civilians but I feel that is juat talk. As far as the Russian people go and not likeing Americans it is interesting to note Russian immagration to the U.S. is very hi. There are more Russians becoming US citizens than there are Koreans now and the #s keep going up. As far as the US being a big bully and "sooner or later someone shows up and beats the crap out of them." Kind of reminds me about the U.S.S.R. losing the cold war.

Gonzo just because Russians move there it does not mean they like US. It is a matter of economics.There was a good article in the Toronto Sun today on the subject of Canadians living and working in US.One person said it was like a big carpet but when you lift it up you see the dirt.I am not saying all Americans are bad people,you seem like a nice person,very respectful and all.However a lot of them come off as too arrogant who think they are #1 and everyone should humble themselves before them.
