Musa Vaskhanov, wanted by federal militia since 1992 on charges that he deliberately caused heavy damage to another person's health, has been apprehended at the Yuzhny checkpoint, RIA Novosti learned from a mobile detachment of the Russian Interior Ministry in Mozdok.

According to representatives of law enforcement agencies, checkpoints serve as kind of a shield, helping separate perpetrators from refugees and migrants. Thus, Bakhan Tikhayev, 43, was detained at the Kavkaz checkpoint in Ingushetia the other day for he had no ID papers on him. As a result of physical examination, numerous scars were discovered on his body, which suggested his affiliation with rebel units. The man was taken to the Achkhoi-Martan interim militia department.

In Shali, militia officers apprehended a 33-year-old man named Saidulayev, who this past January took an active part in rebel operations. He has been hiding for a long while, but now will finally face trial

An emissary from a Chechen rebel leader has been detained near the Tajik-Uzbek border, Russian law enforcement sources told Interfax on Tuesday.

Identified as Balikov, the detainee is a personal envoy of infamous field commander Ibn-ul-Khattab, the sources said. It is believed that Balikov was heading for Afghanistan to meet with leaders of the Taliban movement, which according to some reports is providing financial aid to the Chechen separatists.

RUSSIA INDIGNANT AS UKRAINIAN PRESS ENCOURAGES CHECHEN SEPARATISTS

The Kiev-based weekly, Zerkalo Nedeli carried an interview with Ilyas Akhmadov, Chechnya's self-styled Foreign Minister, currently in London, reports Russia's Foreign Ministry press and information department.

The paper blatantly misrepresents the federal top's efforts to put an end to the Chechen warfare and reinstate peace throughout the republic. The Ministry is baffled to see an influential periodical tolerating Ilyas Akhmadov abuse Mufti Akhmad Kadyrov, head of the Chechen republican administration, and instigate terror in Russia.

The interview brazenly violates a declaration against international terrorism which the UN General Assembly elaborated and adopted in 1994 with active Ukrainian cooperation.

Ilyas Akhmadov extolled the valour of rabid Ukrainian nationalists fighting on the Chechen militants' side in a statement which came as testimony of international terrorist involvement in the warfare and its financing, points out the Foreign Ministry.

Russian federal authorities' conduct is taking the wind out of the sails of the criminal Maskhadov regime. As the new republican administration, led by Mufti Kadyrov, is gaining strength, it de facto makes Maskhadov's ministers redundant as they are sitting snug in London at the expense of their long-suffering people, says the Ministry.

It calls to pay attention to Akhmadov's high opinion of Chechen information centres based in Ukraine. "Each of them is doing more than an armoured vehicle" for the separatist cause, said the interviewee.

The Foreign Ministry thinks Kiev ought to take necessary though belated measures against those centres. Meanwhile, Ukraine tops the world for the number of Chechen separatist offices based in its territory. "Leniency toward terrorist henchmen has never done any good to anyone," warns Moscow.

God bless the Ukrainians! By the way I was under the distinct impression that most of the 'terrorist henchmen' conduct their operations from the Duma

Kindly refrain from uttering the name of that crafty little Jewess. I thought you would have recovered from your obsession by now

There are a lot of muslims in Ukraina who may have turn ultra islamist. I doubt these "ukrainian nationalists" are blond orthodox.

There must be many ethnic chechen with ukrainian passport too (but it doesn't mean they support islamist militants.)

BTW Ukrainian are just russians who are more russian.

Fred, I don't think so. It is kinda like pointing a finger in the sky. I was born and raised in Ukraine and whether you agree with me or not I know that Ukrainian nationalists mostly hate Russians because they are Russians and not because Ukrainians, in their mysterious way, converted to Islam. From what I hear from my relatives in Odessa and Kiev there are two main reasons for Ukrainian nationalists to fight in Chechnya:
1) MONEY (mercenaries);
2) Mutual hatred towards RF.

Where is the filthy Russian coward? Igor?

I said I would meet him.
is this cowardly Russian now peeing in his 'made in russia' pants?

At the very name of the Sephardic, Igor trembles like a dog, like his father before him.

Sadly, modern day Israel is full of pig eating Russian scum, Palestinian trash and secularists.

The Sephardic and the Shas will alwasy uphold decency and truth.
