As for me, if I had a choice, I'd live in a country that does not embarass me by its international military actions. Why do you think US cares about their defence now at least as much (if not more) as they did in the Cold war times? Because they are simply piss people off by interfering into everithing whether they're rihgt or wrong. It's universally known as testing people's patience..guess it's a power trip of some sort.

I don't think the US cares about its defence as much as it did during cold war times, considering less is being spent and some may say the milatary is in some what of dissaray due to cut backs. Plus if you feel embarassed I wouldn't worry people I am sure can see the difference between the actons of a government and the actions of an ordanay citizen.

The reason is not coal mines or an air base site but the contol of muslim population in the area.
By fighting Milosevic, they stole the job of the Jihad.
And they were right. Never the west should let the islamists put a feet in the Balkans.

If nato didn't come to the Balkans, the islamists would be there by now. And it would be a disaster.

Kosovo war was less against Milosevic policy than against islamist expansion.

Fred I can not tell you much except that I personaly think he is ok.He did whatever he did for the country.Forces were being prepared to disassemble the country and he had no choice to crack down.I have given links for Emperors New Clothes where there is a wealth of info on the conflicts written by western professors and such.They all come to the same conclusions that US and Germany had ideas of splitting up Yugoslavia.In short too much outside interference and it is still continuing in Kosovo and Montenegro.
