Good to see all the kids are out playing today and enjoying themselves today. LOL.

So I see Hairy is back from her very long 'business' trip to Thailand. 😉 We are all glad you're safely back Hairy. I'm serious - especially the "safely" back part. LOL.

BTW did you get a chance to visit PHI PHI Island….

Kissako was a bit mad at me yesterday for correcting his English… Why do people always get mad when that happens? It's nothing to be ashamed of, but don't try to write like some English Scholar and lose all meaning and cohesiveness to what you are trying to say. That's all - nothing to get upset about.

Kim - still sharp I see.

Lmenexe is on a 'Job Assignment' - Kind of scary but it does seem like the fashionable thing to do these days! LOL.

I wonder where he's going - maybe to negotiate the conclusion of a rather large joint venture with his local Afghani partners. I would pay to watch that. LMAO.

Antonio, uh whats happening at the Ramparts div LAPD has been in the news for quite a while...also you can't say a whole system is corrupt as in all of western police(due to the problems of one div. in one department), of course there are problems but the problems are being addressed. When was the last time a large number of Russian police arrested for corruption?

At least we have one!
* No, Kim, you have two: the media and the leagal system.;o)
:o)
P.S. Was watching recently an interview of a SFOR serviceman (sorry, can't provide the name of the place - forgot it), he pointed at a hilltop and said there was a militants' training camp with fundie connections and that they were afraid of going there as one of their men got wounded. That's to the point of How can you draw a line at which war is over and rule of law is re-established.
Sad.
As for jurors I just mocked the system a little, 99% of lawyers give the rest a bad name You know;o)

Rebel Fighters In Chechnya Prepare For Spring Offensive
By Deborah Pasmantier

WESTERN CHECHNYA, Russia, Mar 22, 2000 -- (Agence France Presse) In the heart of Russian-held Chechnya, rebels are resting after fierce combats in the southern mountains, waiting for the order to launch a guerrilla war during the spring thaw.

Adam, a 17-year-old fighter, returned to his home three days ago from Komsomolskoye, a key settlement at the mountain foothills where guerrillas have resisted a bloody Russian assault for almost three weeks.

"The fighters have dispersed all around Chechnya, even in the 'liberated' zones. Those who are tired went home, the others are still in the mountains," he said at his village in the west of the rebel republic.

"They told us to get some rest, restore our health and wait for orders. They could come at any moment. I am ready," he added.

Many rebels who were resisting the Russian army in Komsomolskoye and Sharo-Argun, a village deep in the rugged mountains, escaped last weekend via neighboring forests, while some 1,500 regrouped in the south.

The separatists have warned they will soon launch major attacks and the Russians, who fear rebels may attempt to sabotage Sunday's presidential elections in Chechen towns, have beefed up security.

"With spring, it will be easier for us. We can sleep outside, move around, hide in the grass whereas in winter it's cold and it's difficult to treat the wounded," Adam continued.

"The Russians know this. That's why they tried to wipe us out before the end of winter, but they failed. Now they will want to negotiate."

His fellow-fighter Mansur said the government troops mainly tried to avoid head-on clashes with the feared Chechen guerrillas.

"The Russians are frightened of us. In the mountains there are no clashes, just bombardments. When we left Komsomolskoye they were 50 meters (150 feet) from us. A soldier saw us go past, he told his neighbor who warned a third and then nothing happened. They fired on us when the column of 150 fighters was already a kilometer away."

Only professional Russian volunteers, so-called 'kontratkniki', dare to risk their lives in combat in this difficult terrain.

"We can tell them apart from the way they look: they don't lower their eyes. We came across 70 of them a month ago and we killed them. They're the ones who pillage, kill, rape and burn civilians," Mansur said.

"When we capture the soldiers they look at us like children and start to cry. We can't kill them."

Defiant, mocking eyes stare out of faces scored by deep lines of fatigue etched during countless days spent sheltering from bombardments with the rest of their 25-man unit in underground dug-outs.

They spent the preceding night at the local rebel base in the nearby forest.

There they stashed Kalashnikovs, mortars, and grenade-launchers, along with Russian military uniforms -- war trophies or bought from soldiers for a few bottles of vodka.

Before the war, which began in September, Adam went to school while Mansur looked for work. But now, in a house emptied of women and children, they try clumsily to take care of tasks unheard of for Chechen men: fetching water, making tea, and cooking an omelette without burning it.

"I don't know what to do alone in the house. Even in the bases, there are women who make food for the fighters," explained Adam. They find the food in the neighboring villages.

"Civilians also help us, they give us spaghetti, bread, meat. That depends on the commander. If he is rich like (top warlord) Shamil Basayev, he buys medicines, food supplies, weapons," he added.

They say they are ready to fight on for years until the last Russian soldier leaves their fiercely proud nation, which defeated Moscow in the last 1994-1996 war to win de facto independence.

Meanwhile they await the return of former Chechen president Dzhokhar Dudayev, who declared secession from Russia in 1991.

Killed in a Russian rocket strike in April 1996, he was buried in a secret grave and, so the legend goes, he will one day return to lead Chechnya to freedom at the head of his army. ((c) 2000 Agence France Presse)

Igor, no doubt about it the SU-27 is a top of the line fighter. Sukhoi also builds a great ground attack aircraft (I am not sure is it the SU-25) they used them in Afganastan plus today. It is as tough as an A-10, you know has one of thoes titanium cockpits, but a lot faster.

Antonio,
The LAPD is still a world leader in law enforcement and a role model for all others to follow. every third rate, third world foriegn police force looks at them with envy. Every orginization has people that are corrupt. But not to the extent of european nations and nothing like Russia (Russia is probably worse than Mexico).

POPE GO HOME!!

The filthy catholic pig of a man, the Pope is now saying that Palestinians "live in deplorable conditions" in refugee camps!!

Is he mad?
What right does this filthy pig of an old man have to say this?

Palestinians like other non Jews are merely Goyim, beasts, our slaves, here to serve us.
Besides, does not this demented old Pope, not know that the Palestinians enjoy living in the camps.

Jews have allowed Palestinians, Russians and other beasts to roam the holy land, but they must learn to behave.

15. Nidrasch Talpioth, p. 225-L: "Jehovah created the non-Jew in human form so that the Jew would not have to be served by beasts. The non-Jew is consequently an animal in human form, and condemned to serve the Jew day and night."
