Zdorov, Igor,
on the Latvian issue(oh, mama-Kim ;)) - seems very, VERY unfair/one-sided P-A-Y-B-A-C-K to Russkies..

Kim,
I am not sure if you got the insights of that story, I an do NOT want to be the one to tell you about that(you might not believe me, you know..).So, if interested, ask Igor for detailes on that one. I just have one request( don't get offended) - after/if you actually get info on that issue - please(!) do not reply with "whatta bunch of crap" stuff...that's what started our exchange in the first place. Thanx, dear..

for more info on that, check out Igor's post from 2:03am, today..

I think the point is mot, there is not going to be a war between Russia and the USA. Personally I don't think fighting Russia over some place like Kosovo or Serbia is worth it. As far as who is paying for Russias war in Chechnya. I don't think it is not being paid for very much. Probably a lot of IOUs being left.

Maybe I should have said have said "loan" instead of "aid". But then again if it was a loan the U.S. would receive the loan back with intrest, but I doubt the U.S. will see anything back.

Gonzo,
I think you are right, there won't be a war between the US and Russia. It would make any sense and would destroy the world. I think the world leaders have more sense than that. Then again you have that two biggest kids on the block thing, it may be inevitable that they butt heads...

* All right, to spare You the trouble of guessing - the campaign was/is financed entirely at the expence of the RF's own funds + the various old ammunition stockpiles to get rid of.

betterthanyou, I don't think so. It just seems to me despite the snyping on this board there doesn't seem to be much desire or willingness on part of each nation to start anything. I alo don't think Russians and Americans on a personal level have any hatred for each other. yea we may dissagree with some of each others gov. actions but does any of us think serbia, Kosovo, hell the whole baltic reagon is really worth shotting of some nukes. If it ever came to that I would say fine it aint worth here you take this region we are going home. Doesn't sound very macho but hey I would rather back down than see the world glow.
