* The poor photographer went there on his own - the management wouldn't've sent him (whatever the reasons as to why he travelled - useless to discuss or guess), because his health problems were known. Unfortunately fo him he couldn't boast a satphone and, as not a RFE/RL/StateDept. payrolled, couldn't boast a "welconing committee". He's fate was unknown. But still - an unarmed journalist.

Di, there is no offence in "Kimi" whatsoever. Its meaning is the same as English 'you'/French 'tu', but in Japanese. Similarly, 'ore' is English 'I'/French 'je'. Brush up your Japanese a bit more.

READ THE FOLLOWING:

ITAR-TASS photo correspondent Vladimir Yatsina, who had been a Chechen hostage since July, was shot in captivity. This was revealed by a recently liberated hostage, Kazakhstan citizen Alisher Orazaliyev, who had witnessed the murder. Orazaliyev had been taken hostage also in July of 1999 when he had come to Chechnya to see his friends. At a press-conference in Moscow, Orazaliyev said he had met Yatsina in captivity.
Orazaliyev said that Yatsina had been suffering severe pains in his legs and could not move fast. He was killed by the rebels when they were fleeing from the forest to Shatoi. Even adopting Islam had not saved Yatsina.

The rebels were keeping hostages in order to extort money, RIA "Novosti" reports quoting Orazaliyev. But only one businessman was ransomed from Orazaliyev's group.

A month ago a journalist from MN disappeared in Chechnya. He was WITHOUT SATPHONE and a RFE/RL/StateDept. payroll. However, his newspaper did cared about finding him, and found him somehow. Just pure effort mattered, and the change of attituide in ITAR-TASS looks like (at least for me) morally corrupt.
