The Russians aren't doing anything that the U.S. hasn't done. They are fighting a very capable guerilla force the same way the U.S. fought the Vietnamese guerillas. If their public supports this war then they are going to win in the end. I wish this could have been the case in Vietnam.

Why my beloved USA is the focus of your opinions befuddles me. Economic prosperity is something most Americans enjoy, but then again we work for a living.

A civil war in America while Europe and Russia looks on, only in your dreams of days long gone. The truth is we have more and more immigrants from all over the world wanting to live here because of our stability and freedom. I myself am only second generation American descended from immigrant parents and I love this country because of the opportunities that are provided here.

This country has more nationalities than any other in the world. I have siblings in the US Air Force and I can proudly say I am American. We are smart enough to know that people like yourself do not pose a threat to that stability.

As for Russia and their decision to eliminate the terrorists in Chechnya. Most Americans couldn't care less what happens to these Muslim Fundamentalists who always decry a jihad, whenever given a reason.
