Dimitri,

The stupid generals will never be able to touch Basayev and Khattab. They have to have their jobs intact and no wonder they conduct press conferences to boast of 'liquidating' Chechen commanders. One of the commanders was killed 'nine' months back and the press conference is held 'Now'. Nine months of war and Basayev and Khattab still are nemesis for Russia. They will survive and Putin the war criminal will vanish.

Djuma,
bunch of rhetorics again. Ok, so one commander was caought nine months ago, and being tried now. So what? Raduev was caught much less than that...and what is this about Basayev and Khattab? Where did I say that they are about to get caught? Basayev is a very simple man who will probably be sold to Russians by his comrades to get their lives saved. Khattab? Who the hell knows..are you God to make such predictions..I don't think so; you're just a Djuma-wannabe, so..
as for press conference being held: why not? we've got people to hang and jail, and EVERYONE should and will know it.

PS -- THANK YOU IGOR, I HAD FUN MARKING DEAD/CAPTURED IDIOTS on MY LIST.

>>>Mujahideen sources confirm that forces loyal to Putin the Loser clashed once again with pro-Communist soldiers. A firefight broke out between the followers of two parties on Thursday in Vedeno. At least one Russian soldier was killed and several others injured as a result of the infighting.

IT IS A GOOD THING THAT MOST MUSLIMS THAT READ QOQAZ ARE STUPID OTHERWISE THEY SAY, "DUH! RUSSIANS DON'T MAKE UNITS BASED ON THEIR POLITICAL BELIEVES". IDIOTS.

It is my great pleasure to add another dead "commander" ISLANBEK "HAJI" MORODOV.

More rhetoric from stupid generals. Troshov's head deserves trash can. He is after all a junk yard dog.

"Talks are necessary. Politicians begin wars and they must end them, precisely through peaceful means, but not like those which led to the Khasavyurt accords," he said, referring to the peace deal that ended the last 1994-96 war.

The general said he opposed any negotiations with Maskhadov -- branded as a terrorist by the Kremlin, which has turned down his peace initiatives.

In the past, Troshev has pointed to pro-Moscow Chechen religious leader Akhmad-Khadja Kadyrov as a possible interlocutor.

The commander who led the first six months of the campaign, General Viktor Kazantsev, for his part said a "new approach" was needed now.

"The situation in Chechnya has developed into a guerrilla war, which calls for new approaches and new solutions," said Kazantsev, who has been appointed as the Kremlin's envoy to the North Caucasus region.

"The military have done a lot to restore constitutional order in Chechnya. They have done their part of the work, and it is hardly reasonable to keep troops in such numbers there today," he added.

Uncle Sam in alliance with IMF and NATO is already providing covert help to the junk yard dog-Putin but Uncle is afraid of the 'barbarians' lest they maul Sam's . NATO troops will their pants to venture into the quagmire.
