This is verynice of you western guys to care so much about chechens. Bravo!

but does anyone of you know a chechen personally?

Oh wait! I know one-he went to private school with back in Moscow.Poor guy,,,russians destryed his home and relatives...well atleast he got to spend his entire summers in UK, because his father was in charge of chechen mafia in Moscow.

I also used to know this nice 15 year-old russian girl. She was raped, her brests were cut out and head was found separate from her body. Her father died because of heart attack, mother is in the mental hospital. Oh yes i forgot to mention your chechen friend did that...YOu know why? He is Chechen and he has right to do whatever he wants, russians are pigs who are supposed to surve them.

I am not a racist but i have not yet met a cvilazed chechen...

There is a saying in russia" who comes to us with sword will die from it"

the time has come for chechens to die for what they've done.

Ladies & Gentlemen,

I've looked at your discussion and feel obliged to
add some words.

1) I live in Russia and hope we shall somedays live better than the so-called Western World. And everybody who tells "Jews should go to Israel", after the half of my University professors and authors of University schoolbooks were Jews - every such Jew-hater is an enemy of my Russia and my personal enemy.

2) I am VERY sorry since the peaceful Chechen population in Chechnya dies under the Russian bombs. But, if you let the criminal operate from your flat - you have no right to complain.

3) I am deeply ashamed of Communism and of Stalin's national policy. But if the Chechen people suffered from Commies, it gives them no right for revenge.

4) Chechnya is Russian internal affair. So, Russia has the right and is obliged to produce there the duly order. Englishmen who oppose this may visit Chechnya theirselves, if they don't value their heads or if they have nothing in their heads to value.

5) Imagine for a moment that Chechnya is a foreign state. Then, it began war against Dagestan and became agressor, so Russia has all rights to punish it as, for instance, US punished Iraq for aggression against Kuwait.

6) Chechnya is a parallel to Kosovo - and every US or other foreign "deep concern" moves us to the nuclear NATO-Russia conflict. Kosovar mercenaries already fight against Russia in Chechnya.

7) And the last: Mr. Gorbachev was given a honest word that in exchange for Soviet Union's agreement to German unification and fall of Berlin wall NATO will not be extended eastward. This word was not kept. And Kosovo has shown that UN does not control NATO. How can I believe that NATO is not Russia's enemy?

Dear iso,

You are trying to change the campaign of exterminating terrorists into a campaign of exterminating Chechen. There is a word for what you are proposing - genocide, and there is a word for people that are proposing such things - fascists. If your parents have not told you in your childhood, I would like to inform you that those are bad words, meaning bad actions and bad people. You are saying you are not racist. Look at the words you have wrote, and ask yourself if you are no racist.

Sincerely,
Denis A. Vassiltchev

Dear Texan,

As I have said, you are wrong.

Sincerely,
Denis A. Vassiltchev

Dear Mr.Ablestar,

I agree with you on all the points you mentioned in your message, but I would like to add one more:

8) The campaign against terrorists should not be allowed to degenerate into campaign against Chechens.

Yours faithfully,
Denis A. Vassiltchev

To all the people that think that Russians are poor and uneducated you are sooooo wrong. You will never see us coming, we don't have an accent, we look American, we hold the key financial and computer positions we make more money then you can even imagine and we hate our enemies. I am a Russian Jew and even though I was sometime mistreated back in Russia and I immigrated to US I am still a patriot at heart. Americans never gave me a chance just because I smelled funny or looked different when I first came here. I have an advantage over you, I am one of you. Don't count us out or insult us because we are smarter, richer, more powerful then ever. All the comments about the immigrants is just your way of being jealous. We are the generation that is taking over the US and stinking Brits (who I think just like to imbread alot, look at your teeth heheh and only then preach to other people about how they look and smell) Imagine if one of the US states wanted to become independent, the Americans would •••• a brick but if another country is defending its borders they are considered to violate human rights. To all of the pampus pricks that think that Russia is just a bunch of poor people you are right in a way that we are going to be poor only for some time we have enough natural resources to buy the whole world twice and if we unite once again you better watch out. Brits should just shut their cake hole and drink their tea ***** you have no power left you are just a US puppet so sit the •••• down and be silent. Chechens should be crushed just because of the attempt to break up the great nation. To all the racist scum, the only thing I have to say is indians, russians and chinese own you, because we are smarter better educated and not reduced to spending our time in the bars and pubs, we like theater and culturul events we are not closed minded and are dedicated to our cultures and friends. We are the future. sorry for the spelling mistakes

As they bomb what Russia says are Chechen military targets, a bedraggled line of fleeing refugees gets ever longer.

One group told me they had been walking since three in the morning, a young child numbed by fatigue.

"We're not criminals," one woman said, "you must tell the West what is happening here, you must tell the truth."

Oh you begger bowl, poverty striken Russians (Who EXIST because of our handouts) How brave you are, murdering women and children. I will live to see the day when the terrorist begger bowl nation of Russia is destroyed, not from our Bombs but from your own indecent corruption.

Omar so how come civilized muslims support US and the ones that blow •••• up are still learning how to wipe their ass. Terrorist means will not bring the world down. Soon the technology will allow people to trace bastards that blow up innocent sleeping children and the people that support them. Many of my friends are Muslim and they strive to make themselves better and not get involved into killing of innocent people. And Mr. Cross are you salty because some Russian kid poked your daughter and that is why you are insulting all russian people

MUJAHIDEEN ATTACK RUSSIAN ARMY BASE IN DAGESTAN: MONDAY 22 DECEMBER 1997

PART 1 OF 2: The Military Operation (Christmas Present for the Russian Army)

Translation of the official news bulletin of the foreign Mujahideen in Chechnya, under the leadership of Ibn-ul-Khattab, from the Arabian Gulf.

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds and Peace and Blessings be upon His Messenger, Muhammad (SAW).

During the last 18 months since the treaty declaring peace between Chechnya and Russia was signed, the Russian Government has been constantly harassing the Chechen Muslims. Until now, the Russian Government has not, and nor does it have any intention to recognise Chechnya as an independent country. On a number of occasions, the Russian Army has crossed the Chechen borders and the Russian Air Force has flown a number of sorties over Grozny, even though they had previously agreed not to do this. The Russian Government has cut off both gas and electricity supplies to Chechnya many times and have deprived the Chechen Muslims of firewood supplies in the harsh Caucasian winter. The price of firewood was US$30 per truckload during the war and now it has risen to US$100 per truckload. We know that the Russian Government has been doing this in order to create animosity amongst the Chechen people against the Chechen Government. Some of the Chechen Muslims have even begun to say that they were better off during the war than they are now.

The Russian Government has been running a similar colonialist harassment campaign upon the other two Muslim nations in the Caucasus as well, namely Dagestan and Inguishetia. They even had the courage to carry out two assassination attempts of the Mujahideen leadership inside Chechnya itself.

In response to this naked aggression by the Russian Government, and after several warnings to stop, the group of foreign Mujahideen in Chechnya decided to put an end to this harassment themselves.

On the night of Sunday 21 December 1997, three platoons of Mujahideen fighters comprising 115 fighters from Chechen, Inguish, Dagestani, other Central Asian republics and Arab nationalities, crossed the Chechen border and entered Dagestan (in Russian territory) in a number of buses and trucks. Armed only with assault rifles, machine-guns and rocket launchers, they travelled many kilometres into Russian territory until they arrived at midnight, at their target destination: The Military Base of the 136 Motorised Rifle Brigade, the largest and heavily-armed armoured Russian Army brigade in Buinaksk, Dagestan. By the Grace of Allah, the Mujahideen were able to reach the border gates of the base without being noticed.

At 02:00, in the early hours of Monday 22 December 1997, the Mujahideen platoons launched a full-scale raid of the base and took the Russian Army soldiers by surprise. Two of the Mujahideen were killed in this initial attack: Commander Abu Bakr Aqeedah, from Egypt, and Abu Ammar, also from Egypt. We ask Allah (SWT) to accept them from amongst the Shuhadaa'. Three of the Mujahideen were injured slightly in this raid. A large number of Russian Army soldiers, many of whom had just awaken from deep sleep, were also killed in this initial attack.

Praise be to Allah, the Mujahideen were able to take complete control of the entire base within the first five minutes of the operation, including the 300 Russian Army vehicles, the majority of which were tanks and armoured personnel carriers. The cowardly Russian soldiers were unable to resist the lightning raid of the Mujahideen fighters, as Allah had filled their hearts with fear. At first, the Mujahideen attempted to drive some of the tanks away, but were unable to do so as their batteries had been removed.

Therefore, the Mujahideen set about destroying each and every one of the 300 vehicles, including over 50 brand new Russian T-72 battle tanks. They also destroyed the weapons stores of the base in addition to burning over 260000kg of fuel. Due to the small amount of time left before daylight, the Mujahideen then left the base in trucks and headed for the Chechen border.

The Dagestani Police Force set-up roadblocks and fired at the Mujahideen trucks thinking that they were common thieves. Before reaching the last Dagestani village before the Chechen border, one of the trucks broke down after being shot in its radiator. The Mujahideen in that truck then dismounted and ask the local villagers for assistance. Contrary to Russian and Western Media propaganda that the Mujahideen took civilian hostages, once the Dagestani Muslim villagers realised that these Mujahideen were returning from attacking a Russian Army base, they shouted Allahu-Akbar in joy, provided the fighters with food and drink, and lent them one bus and one truck, to assist them in their return to Chechnya.

By the time dawn had broken, all Russian Army units had been summoned in the search for the Mujahideen, who were still in Russian territory. Just before the Chechen border, the Mujahideen hid in undergrowth and set an ambush for the pursuing Russians. Of three approaching Russian Army trucks, full of soldiers, the first was destroyed by a rocket fired by the Mujahideen, killing all of its occupants. The remaining two trucks were reinforced by a large number of other Russian troops and they surrounded the Mujahideen. In the ensuing battle, the Mujahideen fought in the Name of Allah, from 05:00 that morning to 15:00 in the afternoon, until they finally broke the siege, killing many enemy soldiers in the process.

When the Mujahideen finally crossed the border into Chechnya, they shouted Allahu Akbar and praised Allah for this victory, especially after they found out that a Russian Army vehicle carrying Special Forces soldiers which was heading their way, had collided with another vehicle, killing all soldiers aboard both vehicles. After entering Chechnya, the Mujahideen returned the two vehicles that they had borrowed from the Dagestani Muslim villagers, further dispelling the media rumours that the Mujahideen harmed innocent civilians.

As a result of this attack, which caused acute embarrassment to the Russian Government, five Russian Army Generals were sacked. On the other hand, all the Dagestani Muslims were very happy. One of them said, "The Russian tanks were used to spill the blood of innocent Muslims in Chechnya. The Mujahideen, however, did not take anyone from the schools or the hospitals. They destroyed the same tanks that once spilt Muslim blood. We are very happy about this operation, except for the fact that it should have been done a long time ago."

Hundreds of Mujahideen from the surrounding Russian regions are arriving at the base of the Mujahideen. We are opening a number of training camps in order to train these Mujahideen and, insha-Allah, we hope to teach the Russians another lesson in the approaching summer of 1998, should they not stop their harassment of the Muslims.

Winter has now arrived and a request is being put out to the Muslims all over the world to help us financially in order to fulfil our objectives.

Surprisingly, since this attack, the Russian Government has been acting very nicely to the Chechen people.

Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger, Muhammad (SAW).

Ibn-ul-Khattab

Ameer of Foreign Mujahideen in Chechnya

Could anyone help me out here: Why we don't hear anyone in the US this
time talking about military intervene in Chechnya? Not that I think the
US should, but just curious how come it has been so mild and modest and
considerate this time? Aren't the human sufferings of the Chechens a
grave concern of the American people? Where is the always overwhelming
concern of human rights?

Is it because the US is intimidated by the Russia's nuclear might this
time? And Yugslovia was bombed to the hell because it was small and
weak and no match to the US? Then what is the US preaching to the
world? Isn't it clear that whoever wants to escape the fate of being
bombed by the US is to build up its own intercontinental nuclear
capability and deter the US from arbitrary military intervention?

After all, what is the US's principle of international relations? Does
it have one? I wonder. I can make sense with the US's behavior with
only one logic--the logic of the JUNGLE--whoever the strongest
prevails, the weakest crushed. What a world! What a world with only
one superpower! Well, not quite. Russia is still there and still has
huge nuclear stockpiles. For god's sake.
