Prominent Chechen field commander Baudin Bakoyev has been eliminated in the Shatoi district, Russia's ORT television channel reported on Sunday.


Bakoyev was involved in numerous crimes, including the abduction of Russian presidential envoy Valentin Vlasov and General Gennady Shpigun, commander of the Russian United Grouping of federal forces in Chechnya Valery Baranov has told the press in Khankala.


"Some 10 other bandits were also eliminated" in this operation, Baranov said.


In the second war in Chechnya, Bakoyev commanded the southern front and belonged to Shamil Basayev's inner circle. Certain information indicates that rebels form his unit were involved in the attack against the Russian special militia unit from Sergiyev Posad in Grozny in early March.

By coincidence, last week Sofia was host to the assistant head of NATO (Klaiber), the pro-NATO operative who is currently President of Croatia (Mesic), representatives of all the IMF "Donor" Nations (that is, the NATO countries) and 2 top Serbian "democratic" opposition economists (Dinkic and Aramovic). Bulgaria was the place to be.
