I think they are more into the serious approach.I have read on American war movies and how they claim they did something when in fact it was the Canadians. Our veterans raised a protest .The film slips my mind at the moment.Does L'menexe have two IP'S or is one an imposter on here.
Chorny, a friend and I went to see a Spielberg film called "Amistad" (based on a true story of the Slave trade in the 18th century.) Apart from the pompous bits about how the Brits were humanitarians(crap, they withdrew from the slave trade to cripple the French, spanish and portuguese colonies), and the American "free thinkers" hum.- the portrayal of the slavers and slaveships was like a punch in the stomach, I couldn't move when the film finished.
I believe it was a box office flop. People just don't want to know.
I'm not sure, there were some problems, but I'm sure L'menexe will be in to clear that up.
The "fakes and imposters, just like you"-bit was aimed at Allamerican, I thought, not you.
Can you "recommend" any Russian films or filmmakers, I'm a bit ignorant there, I'm afraid.
Anyway, time for the Schoolrun, see you later!
I CAN SAY THIS ON MY BEHALF. I HAVE A LOG IN, AND A PASSWORD. NO ONE CAN HAVE THE SAME NAME ULTRA RUSSIAN NATIONALIST, BECAUSE IT IS ALREADY TAKEN. I HAVE MANY IP'S...... ON SC, HOWEVER. PEOPLE TRY TO IMPERSONATE ME BY POSTING B.S. I ALSO HAVE AN EARLY DETECTION SYSTEM. IF YOU DONT SEE *.VOICESTEAM.COM AFTER MY NAME, THEN ITS NOT ME. I ONLY POST ON SC WHILE I AM AT WORK.
Chorny,
let me correct you since u don't know.
The Canadians never did anything. Period. they have been swallowed up by the States. they feed off the states like fleece on an Elephant. They would be a repugnant backward nation if it weren't for our influence and Economy.
Sorry man but we have never taken anything from the Canadians except for their cold winds.u would know that if you ever came here.
igor:
eeek! it's like kim said:

heya, Kim
I'd take it you'd like something more recent than Eisenstein, eh? 😉
Look up this film makers: Andrey Tarkovskiy's and Nikita Mikhalkov's movies. The ladder won Best Movie Award in Cannes a few years ago, called "Burnt by the Sun".
Igor,
I'll download MSN Msngr sometime this afternoon..
Thanks Dimon!
wink!
Good to see you got back in L'menexe!
the unnamed are unmentioned!
Lol
You're welcome, Kim.
Check this, pretty informative site:

One of the greatest films of all times:

D,
Is there an English version, or subtitle available here in the US? Kinda curious and would like to check it out...
Dimi, right, I have seen "Burnt by the sun", but dubbed into German, I think I missed the beginning, so it escaped me that it was a Russian Film. D'oh!
You can cut the frustration and tension with a knife- very European!I enjoyed it. (probably better dubbed than with sub-titles!)
Thanks for the links.
